Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician / Sr. Technician supports pharmaceutical manufacturing by performing scheduled Preventative maintenance and will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment used in the production of tablets, ointments, and nasal sprays, ensuring smooth and compliant operations within a cGMP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on manufacturing equipment including Granulation line, tablet compression machine, coating machines, ointment mixers, nasal spray filling machines, blister/tablet bulk packing lines and associated utilities (HVAC, compressed air, water systems).
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system faults promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Assist in installation, calibration, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new or upgraded equipment according to cGMP and company SOPs.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, reports, and documentation ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying equipment reliability issues and proposing enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, cleanroom protocols, and cGMP practices within manufacturing areas.
- Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams for timely maintenance scheduling and equipment validation.
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend procurement to avoid delays.
- Participate in emergency breakdown response, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain tools, instruments, and calibration devices, ensuring they are in proper working order and calibrated as required.
- Provide technical support during equipment inspections, audits, and regulatory visits.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of calibration experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or GMP manufacturing environment. Troubleshooting experience on various instruments like pressure transmitters, temperature, relative humidity sensors etc. is must.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing maintenance, preferably with exposure to solid oral dosage, topical formulations, and nasal spray equipment.
- Experience with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and validation documentation.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and root cause failure analysis.
- Knowledge of safety standards.
- Training/certification in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred.
Certifications (preferred):
Training in USP <41>, <1251>, and <1058> practices
Skills:
Strong understanding of GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity principles.
- Working knowledge of risk/principal-based equipment / instrument classification.
- Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to work in cleanroom, lab, and utility areas following gowning and safety protocols.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and work on ladders, if needed.
- Occasional weekend or off-shift support may be required.

Project Construction Phase:
· Review and check deliverables of process equipments system produced by project team or contractors.

· Review technical drawings, specifications, URS and related document for equipment and systems, including filling line, lyo, autoclave, parts washer and TCU etc.,
· Participate in system startup, shake down, pre startup check and commissioning of the engineering and process systems.
· Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for project team, engineering firms and contractors.
· Liaise with other business units, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate in order to backing the project.
· Collaborate with project team to set-up training documents for maintenance personnel.
· As maintenance role, work with stakeholders and users to ensure a smooth handover of process equipment system.
Operational Phase:
· Daily maintenance, preventive maintenance, on-site emergency maintenance, and shutdown maintenance of Drug Substance and Drug product equipment (vial thaw, bio-reactor, DF, centrifuge, chromatography, vial washing, tunnel oven, filling, freeze-drying machines, automatic feeding and discharging machines, isolators), as well as management of spare parts
· Responsible for daily equipment inspection and preventive maintenance, and timely recording in the Maximo system.
· Provide support for process equipment commissioning and verification work, including related HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA, CMMS, SOPs and regulation requirements
· Propose improvement plans for the existing equipment
· Based on the equipment situation, propose reasonable spare parts procurement suggestions
· Organize engineering analysis of existing equipment, continuously improve equipment operation status, efficiency, and ergonomics, and promote cost savings
· Responsible for writing and updating SOP documents for process equipment maintenance
· Participate in relevant deviation investigations, maintain communication with other departments, and constantly find new opportunities for improvement
· Timely and truthfully keep operation records, maintenance records, and upkeep records, and archive them. Organize and analyze equipment operation data, solve various equipment failures, reduce equipment downtime, and lower equipment failure rates;
· Other tasks assigned by superiors.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in pharmaceutical industry.
· Experienced in Drug Substance and Drug product equipment specifications and familiar with local and international codes and standards.
· Have work authorization in Singapore.
· Proficient in English (written & oral) and Chinese(oral) will be an added advantage.
· Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision.
· Possess good communication, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
EDUCATION (Indicate the mini. requirement & preferred discipline):
· Bachelor degree in Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Department: Commercial – Vending
What You'll Do
- Attend to all service calls during normal working hours, as well as when on standby duties assigned on a roster basis.
- Install postmix/vending machines and other equipment at outlet
- Trouble-shoot, service and maintain postmix, coolers and vending machines and other equipment.
- Check to ensure quality drinks are served through dispensers by performing quality control and preventive maintenance checks.
- Educate and train customers on simple daily / weekly clean up of the machine
- Provide feedback to superior regarding competitors' activities and complaints by customers
- Check to ensure that the Company's equipment are properly utilized by operators' and informed supervisor, if otherwise.
- Refurbish machines / equipment in the workshop
What You Bring
- Minimum Certification in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year relevant experience in related field.
- Effective communication skills and good proficiency in languages.
- Posses a Class 3 Driving License
- Must be able to travel within the assigned region.
