The role will involve running several environmental projects at a time and interfacing with clients on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake technical work as an environmental engineer or scientist for environmental impact assessments, environmental management and monitoring, and other environmental studies.
• Develop strategies and prepare and submit proposals for new projects.
• Client liaison and consultations with regulatory agencies and other project stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Development of innovative and multidisciplinary technical and organizational methods/services.
• Delivery of key deliverables on time and budget.

Education and Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience
• Preferably a degree in an environmental engineering or science discipline
• Preferably recent experience in monitoring, analysing and assessing environmental qualities such as water quality, sediment quality, soil quality, air quality, noise and/or vibration. Specialization in any of such aspects is an advantage.
• ESG work experience is an advantage.
• Experience in ecology/biodiversity related projects is an advantage.
• Previous environmental consultancy experience looked upon favourably.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of environmental management, monitoring, assessment, and solutions and understanding of development projects and activities are a must-have.
• Experience with any environmental modelling software or coding would be looked on favourably.
• Fluence in ESG reporting guidelines and standards, particularly on biodiversity disclosure, is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, creative, energetic, willing to learn new skills, and interested in continuous improvement, through best practices and research.
• Attention to detail with good verbal, analytical and writing skills, professional presentation, and communication competencies.
• Confidence to work with different external stakeholders (e.g. developers, contractors, government agencies, NGOs, etc).
• Ability to work well independently, under pressure and demanding deadlines, as part of a team, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple projects and various stakeholders.
• Ability to work flexibly in response to project needs and deliverables that may occasionally include weekends and public holidays.

Job Description

• Work in environmental site assessment related projects, whether as individual or team, in accordance with client requirements, local regulations and international standards
• Perform site visit/ inspection/ field sampling of environmental media (e.g., soil, water, air) and supervise subcontractors as required for the projects handled.
• Support environmental audits, due diligence reviews, conduct job safety risk assessment, health and safety compliance audits.
• Write technical reports to present the findings, analysis and recommendations.
• Prepare figures, illustrations, presentation slides, as part of the deliverables.
• Support team manager in project and proposal management as well as administrative duties
• Shall carry out duties in accordance with quality and environmental management system, health and safety policies and procedures
• Shall report quality, environmental, health and safety problems or any suggestions to his/ her immediate superior
• Shall perform other duties that his/her immediate superior may assign from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning or related fields.
• Fresh graduates, or early professionals up to 2 years of experience in environmental projects, particularly environmental site assessment, environmental, health and safety auditing and compliance reviews would be of advantages.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, exhibit aptitude to think critically.
• Possess strong growth mind-set, self-motivated to grow and learn new skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Develop sustainability and regenerative strategies and proposals at all scales and design stages of projects in the built environment
• Coordinate strategies and proposals for ESD, ESG and carbon assessments with in-house teams, project clients, other consultants and stakeholders

Roles & Responsibilities.

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings

• To supervise all Civil, Structural and Geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary

• To review Contractor's design and submission and supervise all works associated with Civil and Structural works

• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits (NOA, NOC, POWS, TM approval, PTD, PTW, etc) and clearance to work

• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures whenever necessary

• To ensure proper coordination among Contractor, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc. for the works

• To review formwork structure, formwork support systems prior to concreting works and ensure the formworks erected are PE endorsed with Certificate of Supervision (COS) issued

• To upkeep safety, environmental and health matters while working at a construction site

• To supervise the installation/decommissioning of instrumentation

• To review the monitoring data and ensure the Civil and Structural works do not have huge impact on surrounding structures

• To ensure daily register of Request for Information (RIN) for the works and proper documentation are in-placed during the entire construction/reinstatement phase

Requirements:
