Our client is a world leading polymer manufacturer company. They are looking for Health, Safety and Environmental Manager.
The role of the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager includes:
- Ensure Plant Process Safety Updates and Manage (MHI) Safety Case
- Lead Safety Case related items according to MHI Regulations.
- Oversee and manage the budget and expenditure for ESH
- Approve the purchase of consumables and equipment.
- Ensure the Company complies with Legal, regulatory, and other (stakeholders) requirements.
- Support major shutdown activities.
- Manage legal register as part of the monitoring of compliance.
- Arrange and monitor annual assessments (stacks, IHM, Noise assessments)
- Arrange health assessments for employees.
- Lead EAI and Risk assessment program for all process-related modifications.
- Manage ESH Related Work Procedure / SOP & ad hoc task as assigned.
- Develop / review and update related procedures / SOPs.
- Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders on ESH matters.
- Communicate to authorities for licensing regime for modification/increase of hazardous substance quantity.
- Incident Investigation and Non-Conformance reporting to authorities.
- Manage and oversee all ESH training in the Company.
- Arrange external and internal training related to ESH.
- Responsible for staff development and training to ensure optimal competency.
- Conduct regular coaching and feedback sessions with employees.
- Monitor the performance of employees.
Requirements:
- Degree in Automation, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Degree in ESH / Chemical Engineering or equivalent Level C WSH competency certification.
- Certified in confine space assessor / WAH Assessor.
- Certified in Biz Safe level 2.
- Min 5 years of relevant working experience with at least 3 years in a similar capacity Vendor Management ISO Management.
- Have experience liaising with government authorities.
- Intermediate MS Office People Management to manage the ESH team to achieve the Section's KPIs constantly.
- Knowledge of ISO 45000, SS651 & 14000 Ability to conduct risk assessment EAI assessment.
- Ability to lead in accident investigation.
- Has working knowledge of ACTA framework.
- Planning and Organisational skills and plan and organise the assignment of tasks and deployment of resources.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Passionate with WSH requirements.
- Person with integrity Firm and assertive when handling issues and employees.
- Flexible, willing to go for extra mile.

As a key member of our organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that contracts awarded meet all relevant legislative requirements related to workplace safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards. The ideal candidate will have:

Well versed with HSE management system, statutory requirements and codes of practices
Well versed with emergency response and fire protection system including testing and inspection requirements.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 and SS651 is an added advantage.
Good inter-personal, communication skills and professional disposition.
Able to motivate and build consensus across teams and departments.
