• Provide on-call technical support to vessel engineers, offering solutions to operational issues, breakdowns, and emergencies.
• Ensure that all engine room operations adhere to international and local maritime regulations, including environmental standards and safety protocols.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with relevant certifications (such as Class I Engineer's License).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Chief Engineer or a similar role, preferably with seagoing experience on various vessel types.
• Familiarity with international maritime laws, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other regulations related to engine operations and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective measures.
• Excellent leadership abilities to coordinate with shipboard teams and external stakeholders, along with clear communication for troubleshooting and reporting.
