• Technical review on new project orders and order assignments to Technical Engineer & Drafter team.
• Ensure timely submission of engineering documents i.e. Control Schematic Drawing, General Assembly Drawing, Wiring Diagram, Nameplate Drawing, Test Procedure, Data Sheet etc.
• Review all project engineering documents before submitting them to client.
• Manage engineering change function and ensure engineering documents are updated accordingly.
• Provide advice and guidance to Technical Engineer & Drafter team for any technical queries and to support other ops team on various aspects of technical/engineering matters.

• To review international standards and/or project specifications for product compliance. i.e. ISO 12490 / API 6DX / IOGP S-707 / SHELL DEP standards or other industrial standards related to Valve Automation and/or instrumentation.
• Providing field support for customers to resolve after-sales technical issues or technical clarifications.
• To attend internal/external kick off Meeting (KOM) when required.
• Travel with technicians to installation base and sites if the need arises.
• To assist manager to lead the department’s improvement programs and/or process efficiency initiatives.
• To assist manager in maintaining and updating the department's Standard Operating Procedures.
• To carry out Engineering personnel annual performance review to ensure competency and give counselling when required.
• Support new employee orientation by providing brief engineering department process flow training.
• Support Operations department in resolving aftermarket technical issues such as Product Design changes / Fault Finding / Supplier Discrepancies.
• Support development and upkeep of staff technical competency and training management.
• Performs additional related duties as requested or required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 6-8 years supervisory experience in Valve Automation and/or instrumentation background.
• Conversant with ISO 12490 / API 6DX / IOGP S-707 / SHELL DEP standards or other industrial standards related to Valve Automation and/or instrumentation.
• Possess a strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D or drafting software & SAP will be an added advantage.
• Familiar and possess intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365
• Very self-driven and able to drive the team.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and can work as a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for reviewing Authority's and Contractor's drawings, providing relevant endorsements, and supervising civil, structural, and geotechnical building works.

Responsibilities:

• Review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings
• Provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities
• Supervise all civil, structural, and geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary
• Ensure that contractors have obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work
• Conduct site inspections and ensure that contractors implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures to protect surrounding structures
• Coordinate with contractors, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc for the works
• Review, evaluate, and assess all formwork structure, formwork support systems etc
• Review and supervise safety, environmental, and health matters
• Supervise the installation of instrumentation
• Supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, pump drainage works etc
• Review, evaluate, and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of results and provide analytical results/presentations
• Review Contractor's design and supervise all works

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Min. 3 years of experience in Cut & Cover tunnelling or supervision of installation of monitoring instruments, collation of monitoring data, and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation.
• Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Possess a valid RTO cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore
