ABOUT THE ROLE
To develop strategies and programs that would seek to improve the lives of Seniors and needy families staying around our church vicinity. Reach out and work with existing and new partners to carry out programs that meet the ministry's vision and mission. Execute these programs at both Campus areas in partnership with the respective campus teams. Oversee the Grace Community Outreach's Volunteer Management. This role will contribute to shaping a cohesive ecosystem where church, community, and volunteerism work in synergy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conceptualize, plan, and develop comprehensive community engagement strategies and action plans aligned with the church's mission and objectives to engage needy families and seniors of our congregation and residents living around our campuses.
- Conduct needs assessments, landscape mapping, and asset-based community development to identify community strengths, needs, and opportunities for engagement.
- Develop and execute programs that could help change the lives of needy families in areas such as helping them to learn a livelihood skill.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with diverse community stakeholders, including various church ministries, residents, grassroots organisations, community leaders, government agencies, schools, social service agencies, corporate partners, and volunteers.
- Design, organize, and execute a variety of community engagement activities, programs, and events (e.g., workshops, forums, outreach campaigns, dialogues, volunteer activities).
- Facilitate discussions, workshops, and focus groups to gather insights, foster collaboration, and encourage community participation.
- Manage and coordinate logistics for all community engagement events and activities.
- Enhance and oversee the volunteer management system. This includes helping people discover their desire to serve, developing them in their serving skills, and deploying them into various volunteer roles they are suitable for, in collaboration with the campus team.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement efforts and improvise accordingly.
- Ensure data integrity and provide regular timely reports and updates to the leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and processes.
