Connect Energy is a leading supplier of talent to the Energy industry in 50 countries worldwide. Established in 2006, we have since diversified into the Oil & Gas, Marine, Technology, Process and Construction industries. We expanding with ambitious plans to grow the company to 3 times our current size.
The Recruitment Manager will be part of the dynamic and multinational recruitment teams to provide recruitment solutions on a regional basis.
Working with the COO to build an effective go-to-market plan, the Recruitment Manager will develop their sector/ specialization and contact network. Developing sales leads and strengthening client relationships by providing expert end-to-end recruitment solutions to meet divisional sales targets and growth objectives.
This role will proactively research their markets, and enhance their knowledge of their discipline, talent pools, and hiring nuances to become a true Subject Matter Expert.
This role will be fully accountable for the 360-recruitment process to include: Development of their sales pipeline, forecasting and reports, through to business development, candidate sourcing/ placement and client relationship management.
This role will be expected to show a higher level of competence in billing and business development. To proactively research and analyse market changes and developments within their sectors, and identify new emerging specialisms and business opportunities. To develop new sectors on behalf of the business, build business capabilities and presence in the region.
Developing client relationships and undertaking account director or major account management opportunities. Building business growth strategies and taking an active management approach in sharing business best practices with peers through coaching and development.
The Recruitment Manager will be required to manage the recruitment division in the achievement of its KPI, hire, train, and drive recruiters to help in the growth of the division.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years experience in a recruitment agency environment.
- Experienced with mid-senior placements.
- Preferably with 3 years experience in a managerial role.
- Experienced senior recruitment consultants with an aspiration to assume a management role are welcome to apply.
- Ambitious and possess a proven track record of achievement.
- Experience in the Energy industry is an advantage.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Our laboratory pioneers advancements in new battery technology through innovations in electrode materials, electrolyte design, and battery chemistry.
Our research focuses on the development of rechargeable batteries and energy storage systems, including rechargeable lithium and sodium batteries, redox flow batteries, synthesis and characterization of energy storage materials, and employing machine learning and high throughput for the discovery of new electrode materials and electrolyte systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in the fields of rechargeable batteries and energy storage systems.
- Develop and characterize novel electrode materials and electrolyte systems.
- Employ machine learning and high throughput techniques for material discovery.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics or related fields with a good publication record.
- Prior research experience in rechargeable batteries, redox-flow batteries, nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, electrochemical measurements, and machine learning is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Work with faculty and companies on energy assessment projects in industrial systems.
Co-develop and co-deliver training in energy efficiency in industrial systems to adult learners and students.
Mentor students in energy assessment projects to enhance their technical problem-solving skills. The learning activities may include classroom training, laboratory classes, projects, or IWSP. Development of learning activities/materials and assessment of students may form part of the responsibilities.
Support research and industrial project work undertaken by the university, where opportunity arises.
Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety, and Health Regulations.
Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
For those hired at senior levels, management responsibilities may be included.
Manage and administer training programmes at the Centre.
Job Requirements
Deep, hands-on experience in energy assessments and energy efficiency projects in various industrial systems.
At least 5 to 10 years of project work experience in energy efficiency. Certification as an Energy Efficiency Opportunity Assessor or Singapore Certified Energy Manager is advantageous.
A Degree in Engineering or equivalent. A Master’s or PhD degree is advantageous.
Experience in conducting training programmes for adult learners.
Licensed LEW (Grade 8 or higher).

Have hands-on experience in energy assessments and energy efficiency projects in some of the following areas:
Industrial systems such as: Chilled Water System, Cooling and Refrigeration System, Mechanical Ventilation System, Heating system, Process Separation, Process Heat Integration, Process Compressor System, Steam and Condensate System, Compressed Air System, Motor Driven System, Power Distribution System and Electric Motors, Lighting System, Renewable Energy System, Process Specific system, etc.
Have a Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Have at least 5 years of project work experience in energy efficiency. Certified Energy Efficiency Opportunity Assessor or Singapore Certified Energy Manager will be advantageous.
Licensed LEW (Technician grade or higher) will be advantageous for one of the positions.
*Note: The incumbent will be appointed as Research Fellow / Research Engineer if successful.
