What You Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Take responsibility for any and every matter relating to your portfolio of customers.
- Origination and execution of a variety of financing structures, including project finance, acquisition finance, ECA financing, trade and supply chain finance.
- Strong technical skills including credit and financial analysis, cashflow forecasting, financial modeling, due diligence, risk assessment of customers and projects, negotiating financing and ISDA agreements.
- Broad knowledge of banking products and services, including markets and treasury products, trade, and cash management.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including risk and product partners, to deliver suitable solutions to your clients, leveraging on the Bank’s network and capabilities.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably covering the energy and infrastructure sectors
- Strong technical skills, including financial modeling and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a global setting with clients and stakeholders from different countries

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commodities and energy sectors, aligning with SMBC’s strategy.
