Pre-Procedure (Endoscopy)

• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all equipment is sterilised, functional, and ready for use.
• Receive and assess patients prior to procedures, ensuring consent forms and documentation are complete.
• Educate patients and caregivers on preparation and aftercare instructions.
• Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, maintaining strict infection control standards.

Intra- & post-procedure

• Support physicians and anaesthetists during procedures as needed.
• Monitor patients immediately post-procedure for vital signs, airway, and consciousness levels.
• Communicate effectively with the clinical team regarding patient status.
• Ensure smooth patient handover or discharge after recovery.

Essential

• Registered Nurse with valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment, observation, and teamwork skills.
• Good communication and patient-service orientation.

Preferred

• Prior experience in Endoscopy / Operating Theatre / Day Surgery.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications.

• Stable day surgery hours (no night shifts).
• Work alongside experienced surgeons and anaesthetists in a modern facility.

· Assessment and admission of Endoscopy patient.

· Sets up and prepares required Endoscope and equipment for the day.

· Assist endoscopist during procedure and ensure patient's safety throughout procedure.

· Participating in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment, ensuring an agreed standard of decontamination at all times including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment.

Qualification / Work Experience Requirements:

· Diploma in Nursing, at least 3 years of Endoscopy experience.

· Competent in monitoring patient with sedation

· Skilled to perform cannulation and venepuncture

· Proficient in using and handling endoscopic equipment (OGD / Colonoscope / Cystoscope)

· Knowledge of endoscopy procedures, techniques, symptoms and complications of endoscopy, anaesthesia or sedation and consequent nursing interventions

· Competent in using washer reprocessor for disinfecting and reprocessing of Endoscope

• Assist in the clinic's day to day operations and functions.
