We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive and business oriented Legal Counsel to join our worldwide employment legal team.
Based in Asia, this role will, in coordination with worldwide team leads and outside counsel as appropriate: (1) provide pragmatic legal advice to ensure company processes, policies and procedures are compliant with employment and labor laws where TI operates in the Asia-Pacific region and (2) manage Asia-Pacific based employee related disputes and government inquiries. This position will play a key role in supporting HR managers across Asia-Pacific, ensuring legal compliance and managing employment-related risk in a fast-paced manufacturing environment as well as resolving adverse matters and inquires effectively and efficiently. The candidate will be expected to effectively obtain and manage outside counsel expertise to cover employment law issues in multiple Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. This role also requires building and effectively maintaining knowledge databases for increased automation/digitization, chat bot and AI tool utilization. The legal counsel will work closely with the HR leadership (including Ethics Director) and law department leadership, and collaborate with external counsel on complex operational issues and disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret employment law developments across multiple Asia-Pacific jurisdictions; advise on Asia-Pacific legal requirements for global compliance programs and employment policy and process harmonization.
- Draft, review, and update employment-related documents, contracts and company policies, ensuring regional and global compliance
- Advise on Asia-Pacific legal requirements for hiring, onboarding, performance management, misconduct, and termination matters, including individual exits and large-scale reductions in force (RIFs).
- Work with local outside attorneys in Asia-Pacific countries to resolve adverse employee matters and respond to government inquiries regarding HR related practice and compliance
- Support engagement with existing employee representatives in applicable Asia-Pacific jurisdictions
- Advise on Asia-Pacific occupational health & safety obligations, shift work regulations, and working time laws applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Contribute legal support to M&A transactions, post-merger integrations, and global reorganizations involving any Asia-Pacific employees and entities.
- Support employment/labor-related disclosures and initiatives, aligning with global sustainability and compliance frameworks.
- Coordinate with privacy compliance owner on employee data protection matters and requirements in Asia-Pacific countries
- Review and support implementation of digital HR platforms and employee monitoring tools.
Minimum requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Law degree from a recognized institution and licensed to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
- Experience in employment law compliance and/or litigation, preferably with a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department of a multinational company.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law across Asia-Pacific (e.g., Singapore, China, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea), and familiarity with global labor law trends.
- Practical experience advising across multiple Asia/Pacific jurisdictions
- Comfortable working across time zones and cultures, with a collaborative and pragmatic approach. Ability and willingness to travel internationally, particularly across Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial operations preferred.
- Experience managing complex employee relations issues including investigations, terminations, misconduct, and compliance with company policies preferred
- Fluent in English; additional Asian language skills are helpful.

**Minimum requirements:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Specialist to support daily HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and compliance. Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required to facilitate communication in a bilingual work environment.Key Responsibilities:Human Resources & Payroll
- Administer end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (CPF, IR8A, SDL, etc.).
- Ensure full compliance with Singapore employment laws and MOM regulations.
- Prepare and manage employment contracts, onboarding/offboarding documents, and HR policies.
- Maintain and update employee records in line with PDPA and company standards.
- Manage employee benefits, leave tracking, insurance, and work pass administration.
Office Management
- Oversee daily operations of the Singapore office, including supplies, facilities, and vendor management.
- Act as the main point of contact for building management and service providers.
- Coordinate travel, meetings, team events, and internal communications.
- Ensure a positive, efficient, and well-organized workplace environment.
People & Culture Support
- Be the go-to person for employee queries on HR policies, office logistics, and general support.
- Help organize team-building initiatives and internal engagement efforts.
- Contribute to improving internal HR and office management processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR or administrative role
- Working knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
- Proficient in HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP) and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
