Responsibilities
Responsible to contribute to product cost savings through identifying opportunities for cost savings & build value engineering project pipeline
Develop methodologies, templates and approach for target costs based on product analysis data
Analyze and evaluate design for materials, manufacturing process & supply chain for value analysis / value engineering opportunities
Execute & drive VAVE projects starting from Idea generation to implementation
Co-ordinate with Global & local stake holders including suppliers for project execution including samples, prototypes and testing requirements
Build active VAVE project funnel to drive multiple VAVE projects in a timely manner to support business goal target
Establish and update processes for execution on teardown, benchmarking and VAVE requests
Qualifications
At least 5 years of working experience in the EMS or an MNC environment
Strong analysis skills, knowledge in material pricing and strategy
Strong knowledge in Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical/Electronics commodities
