- Carry out or supervise 3rd party employees in all maintenance and inspection related to the Control Systems discipline, to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery in the unit, as well as emergency equipment, thus contributing to the production and revenue target achievement, as well as safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to legal/regulatory requirements by following or ensuring 3rd parties onboard follow MODEC's procedures, internal and external regulations, national and international standards supporting audits and inspections in the unit, and implementing action plans, when required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of MOG fleet performance by participating, when requested, to RCAs, investigations of NOIs/NODs, HAZID/HAZOPs, following up CAPAs, sharing lessons learned.

- Contribute so that designated onshore department may properly act as Functional Managers of Control Systems discipline for that unit, by ensuring the adherence of the scope to technical standards, guidelines and recommendations set by Technical Support department. Additionally, contribute to the continuity of operations offshore, by providing support to onshore IT department when intervention cannot be done remotely.
- Monitor DCS/FCS and other system installed on FPSO ensuring that all related systems are operating correctly, and all required data are registered. This includes to control and manage system backups (e.g., DCS, PLC, Data Servers, etc.) in the facility as per MODEC standard, reviewing time to time the data base and inform the I&C Supervisor about the status on regular basis, as well as ensuring that all changes are captured in the Control Narrative Document, monitoring, and recording all changes in the systems of the facility when the changes are approved through Management of Change procedure.
