IT Engineer (EDA Tools)
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineer (EDA Infrastructure) to maintain and enhance the mission-critical IT environment that supports our chip design (R&D) teams. You will be responsible for the entire EDA tool ecosystem, ensuring high availability, security, and performance to enable our engineers to design world-class products.
Responsibilities
install, update, and fix the engineering design software (EDA tools) and their licenses.
watch over our computer servers and fix any problems quickly.
create automated systems to make the engineers' work easier and faster.
write scripts and help with tasks on our Linux systems.
work directly with our design teams to solve their IT issues and find solutions.
ensure our systems are secure and follow company rules.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience directly related to the duties specified above in an IT environment.
good communicator, strong analytical and problem solving skills.
working knowledge of Unix/Linux environment. Familiar with SGE/LSF job scheduler.
working knowledge of EDA license management.
working knowledge of EDA software administration and installation.
high script skills, willing to learn new stuff.
good knowledge of version control software, such as Git/Gerrit/Jenkins/ClearCase.
