We are seeking for a Senior Director, Sustainability, to be part of the management team responsible for leading the sustainability framework across all the business units within Singtel Digital Infra Co (DI CO) with a specialised focus on Nxera Data Centre. This role is expected to act as a change agent and subject matter expert for sustainability related matters within the organization, in working closely and leading other relevant departments such as operations, products, and strategy to achieve the organisation’s sustainability aspiration. Beyond the organisation, this role must advocate for sustainability initiatives externally to establish Nxera as a Green Data Centre leader; and to support the sales of greener offerings in the region.
Job Responsibilities
- To develop and be responsible for the sustainability strategy of DI CO and galvanise the various functions within the organisation to achieve the collective goals.
- To stay updated with sustainability industry trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic planning and facilitate discussions with key partners including collaborating with the Group Sustainability function.
- Manage end-to-end sustainability related matters to energy, water and waste across DI CO and build strong working relationship with other functional teams to integrate sustainability ownership and inspire positive changes across the organization.
- Set up processes and controls for collecting, organizing, and reporting ESG information. This comprises collecting, validating, calculating, and aggregating ESG data for reporting purposes for DI CO and the Group.
- Own shared accountability of the sustainability metrices e.g. PUE, WUE, carbon emission with the operations team and to have line of sight and accountability of the sustainability improvement road map strategy, ensuring that we adopt the respective industry best practises.
- To work with the strategy team on green innovation and partnerships with external parties such as IHLs, other research units, governmental organisations and other technology companies.
- To be the subject-matter expert within DI CO in developing sustainability opportunities and to equip the other functions with the right sustainability related competency for their respective functions.
- To be responsible for the total sustainability budget to deliver the sustainability strategy.
- Other relevant duties to the role and responsibilities may be assigned to you from time to time to support the business growth of our organization.
- Possess a Degree in Engineering i.e. Mechanical and Electrical/ Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in a technical and/or sustainability domain. Have worked in large facilities management area and in a leadership position for at least 5 years.
- Experienced in leading a cross-functional team to develop the sustainability strategies for mid and long term for ICT operations especially in Data Centres.
- Familiar with green Data Centre requirements and operations, Energy Management and sourcing knowledge.
- Have an appreciation of the Data Centre industry, operational concerns, and respective technical limitations/commercial customer demands.
- Experienced in environmental management system and carbon management sustainability.
- Possess good project management skills such as ability to actively manage and balance task, cost and time.
- Has a dynamic personality with strong inter-personal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders within and beyond the organisation.
- Strong understanding of the Renewable energy landscape in the region.
- Apt in implementing environmental concepts (e.g. carbon foot printing, design-for-environment etc.)
- Highly preferred to possess certifications such as:
- Singapore Certified Energy Manager
- Green Mark Manager and
- ISO1400 series qualification
- Possess strong familiarity in the areas of:
- Environmental and carbon reporting standards (e.g. CDP)
- Sustainability reporting according to the various standards such as GRI, SASB and etc

We are seeking a Senior Director, Sustainability, to be part of the management team responsible for leading the sustainability framework across all the business units within Singtel Digital Infra Co (DI CO) with a specialised focus on Nxera Data Centre. This role is expected to act as a change agent and subject matter expert for sustainability related matters within the organization, working closely with and leading other relevant departments such as operations, products, and strategy to achieve the organisation’s sustainability aspiration. Beyond the organisation, this role must advocate for sustainability initiatives externally to establish Nxera as a Green Data Centre leader and to support the sales of greener offerings in the region.
Job Responsibilities
To develop and be responsible for the sustainability strategy of DI CO and galvanise the various functions within the organisation to achieve the collective goals.
To stay updated with sustainability industry trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic planning and facilitate discussions with key partners including collaborating with the Group Sustainability function.
Manage end-to-end sustainability related matters to energy, water and waste across DI CO and build strong working relationships with other functional teams to integrate sustainability ownership and inspire positive changes across the organization.
Set up processes and controls for collecting, organizing, and reporting ESG information. This comprises collecting, validating, calculating, and aggregating ESG data for reporting purposes for DI CO and the Group.
Own shared accountability of the sustainability metrics e.g. PUE, WUE, carbon emission with the operations team and have line of sight and accountability of the sustainability improvement roadmap strategy, ensuring that we adopt the respective industry best practices.
To work with the strategy team on green innovation and partnerships with external parties such as IHLs, other research units, governmental organisations, and other technology companies.
To be the subject-matter expert within DI CO in developing sustainability opportunities and to equip the other functions with the right sustainability related competency for their respective functions.
To be responsible for the total sustainability budget to deliver the sustainability strategy.
Other relevant duties may be assigned to support the business growth of our organization.
Job Requirements
Possess a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical/Electronics Engineering).
Minimum 12-15 years of experience in a technical and/or sustainability domain, including at least 5 years in a leadership position within large facilities management.
Experienced in leading cross-functional teams to develop sustainability strategies for mid and long-term ICT operations, especially in Data Centres.
Familiar with green Data Centre requirements and operations, Energy Management, and sourcing knowledge.
Have an appreciation of the Data Centre industry, operational concerns, and respective technical limitations/commercial customer demands.
Experienced in environmental management systems and carbon management sustainability.
Possess good project management skills, including the ability to actively manage and balance tasks, costs, and time.
Has a dynamic personality with strong inter-personal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders within and beyond the organisation.
Strong understanding of the Renewable energy landscape in the region.
Highly preferred to possess certifications such as Singapore Certified Energy Manager, Green Mark Manager, and familiarity in areas such as Environmental and carbon reporting standards (e.g. CDP), Sustainability reporting (e.g. GRI, SASB), and Carbon Accounting and ISSB standards.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Solutions Director to join Times Higher Education’s rapidly growing corporate team to drive sales efforts globally with clients in the Sustainability sector. The role will focus on building out the partner offering securing new partners for the sector leading Global Sustainable Development Congress, but will have and knowledge of and referral integration with THE's full portfolio of global events, data, content, advertising, and consultancy products.
The Global Sustainable Development Congress is convened by Times Higher Education and brings together the world's leading thinkers, policymakers and actors from different sectors to drive new alliances and create positive action for a more sustainable future. The GSDC was launched by THE in 2021 and has grown to bring together more than 4000 delegates across industry, academia, government and third-sector bodies – establishing itself as the leading cross-community sustainability focussed event globally.
The role will report to the Commercial Director within THE’s corporate division, but the candidate will have dotted-line responsibility to Regional President’s and the GSDC Event Director. As a key contributor to the GSDC leadership group, the candidate will work closely with the events content, marketing, and operations teams. The Client Solutions Director (Sustainability) will be responsible for driving sales with businesses working within the g lobal sustainability landscape and will have a full global remit to grow our footprint in this new market, utilising the uniquely powerful position and proposition of GSDC to drive new sales.
The candidate will benefit from significant support from management and marketing functions across the business, but will have a large degree of autonomy in establishing themselves as a sector expert and setting their own strategy to drive best results commercially.
This role will require travel both domestically and internationally to attend events, client meetings and industry conferences. Alongside the core sales functions, the Client Solutions Director will be required to grow their own network, keep up to date with sector news and be a leading voice in innovating new products, services, opportunities, or events.
You will be working alongside a dynamic and fun-loving team and will need to be used to thriving in a fast-paced environment, working effectively both independently and also creatively within a hard-working team.
