This role is responsible for shaping Singtel Singapore's overall strategy and transformation agenda, with a strong focus on AI transformation as a core national priority, alongside strategic planning, corporate finance, and high-impact execution.As part of the CEO's office, the Director plays a critical role in embedding AI into Singtel SG's business model as part our of AI-first telco ambitions. The Director provides thought partnership to the leadership team, delivers analysis to support critical decisions, and drives cross-functional execution of strategic and AI-enabled transformation initiatives. The role also brings a corporate finance and M&A perspective to inform growth, partnership, and AI investment priorities.
We are seeking an ex-consultant (Engagement Manager equivalent) with a proven record in strategy and corporate finance, ideally with expertise in AI strategy, data-driven operating models, and telecoms.
Make An Impact By
Strategy Development & Planning
- Support the Head of S&T in defining and refining Singtel Singapore's strategy, including AI28 transformation roadmap and AI adoption across functions.
- Conduct robust, data-driven analysis (leveraging AI tools for forecasting, scenario planning, and competitive intelligence) to inform strategic choices.
- Develop CEO- and Board-level materials highlighting AI initiatives, value pools, and productivity gains.
Corporate Finance & Transactions
- Develop an inorganic growth strategy to build strategic complement capabilities in telco, digital platforms, and AI-driven services.
- Evaluate acquisitions and partnerships in AI platforms, AI-enabled infrastructure, and adjacent digital ecosystems.
- Build investment cases quantifying AI synergies (e.g., automation savings, customer experience uplift, new revenue streams).
Transformation & Strategic Initiatives
- Drive execution of enterprise-wide transformation programs, with focus on AI use cases in networks (autonomous ops), customer experience (personalisation), and enterprise solutions (5G APIs, AI-enabled platforms).
- Define KPIs and track delivery of AI business impact (e.g., cost savings, productivity uplift, AI-driven revenue).
- Identify and embed external best practices by benchmarking against leading global AI-telco peers.
Business Planning & Performance Management
- Lead the AOP and quarterly reviews with explicit inclusion of AI adoption targets, AI productivity gains, and workforce reskilling metrics.
- Translate AI28 strategy into measurable objectives for each business line.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on AI adoption priorities, AI workforce upskilling, and responsible AI governance.
- Build alignment across BUs, Group, regulators, and ecosystem partners to position Singtel as a national leader in applied AI
Skills to Succee
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 8–10 years total experience.
- Minimum 4–5 years in top-tier management consulting (Engagement Manager level, McKinsey/BCG/Bain or equivalent).
- Corporate finance and M&A experience: transaction evaluation, financial modelling, due diligence.
- Sector experience in telecoms, AI, technology, or digital infrastructure.

This role is responsible for shaping Singtel Singapore’s overall strategy and transformation agenda, with a strong focus on AI transformation as a core national priority, alongside strategic planning, corporate finance, and high-impact execution. As part of the CEO’s office, the Director plays a critical role in embedding AI into Singtel SG’s business model as part our of AI-first telco ambitions. The Director provides thought partnership to the leadership team, delivers analysis to support critical decisions, and drives cross-functional execution of strategic and AI-enabled transformation initiatives. The role also brings a corporate finance and M&A perspective to inform growth, partnership, and AI investment priorities. We are seeking an ex-consultant (Engagement Manager equivalent) with a proven record in strategy and corporate finance, ideally with expertise in AI strategy, data-driven operating models, and telecoms.Make An Impact By
- Support the Head of S&T in defining and refining Singtel Singapore’s strategy, including AI28 transformation roadmap and AI adoption across functions.
- Conduct robust, data-driven analysis (leveraging AI tools for forecasting, scenario planning, and competitive intelligence) to inform strategic choices.
- Develop CEO- and Board-level materials highlighting AI initiatives, value pools, and productivity gains.
Corporate Finance & Transactions
- Develop an inorganic growth strategy to build strategic complement capabilities in telco, digital platforms, and AI-driven services.
- Evaluate acquisitions and partnerships in AI platforms, AI-enabled infrastructure, and adjacent digital ecosystems.
- Build investment cases quantifying AI synergies (e.g., automation savings, customer experience uplift, new revenue streams).
Transformation & Strategic Initiatives
- Drive execution of enterprise-wide transformation programs, with focus on AI use cases in networks (autonomous ops), customer experience (personalisation), and enterprise solutions (5G APIs, AI-enabled platforms).
- Define KPIs and track delivery of AI business impact (e.g., cost savings, productivity uplift, AI-driven revenue).
- Identify and embed external best practices by benchmarking against leading global AI-telco peers.
Business Planning & Performance Management
- Lead the AOP and quarterly reviews with explicit inclusion of AI adoption targets, AI productivity gains, and workforce reskilling metrics.
- Translate AI28 strategy into measurable objectives for each business line.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on AI adoption priorities, AI workforce upskilling, and responsible AI governance.
- Build alignment across BUs, Group, regulators, and ecosystem partners to position Singtel as a national leader in applied AI
Skills to Succee
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- 8–10 years total experience.
- Minimum 4–5 years in top-tier management consulting (Engagement Manager level, McKinsey/BCG/Bain or equivalent).
- Corporate finance and M&A experience: transaction evaluation, financial modelling, due diligence.
- Sector experience in telecoms, AI, technology, or digital infrastructure.
- Track record of delivering strategic initiatives and enterprise-wide transformation.
- Strategic problem solving and structured communications.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation.
- Strong project management and transformation governance.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence at CXO/Board level.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- High adaptability and resilience in fast-changing environments.
- Ability to coach, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
