We are looking for a skilled and passionate Dim Sum Chef to join our kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dim sum items — from traditional classics to new creations — while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene.
Whether you are an experienced dim sum chef or an enthusiastic learner, we welcome you to grow together with us. Training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a range of dim sum items (e.g. dumplings, buns, rolls, congee, etc.) according to company recipes and standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all dishes.
- Manage daily ingredient preparation and inventory usage.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the kitchen area at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to food safety, SFA, and NEA hygiene regulations.
- With or without experience — training provided.
- Passionate about cooking and Chinese cuisine.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work well under pressure.

Proficient in creating signature dishes such as Har Gow, Siu Mai, Char Siu Bao, etc.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene.
Requires basic English and fluent Mandarin for effective team communication.

Position summary statement:
To assist the Executive Chinese Chef in the efficient management of the Chinese restaurant kitchen.
The Assistant Dim Sum Chef reports to the Executive Chinese Chef.
Primary Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the team on day-to-day operation.
- To practise innovation and creativity by constantly introducing new creations and presentations of the western cuisine.
- To be responsible for the total quality of food prepared which call for checks on taste, temperature, portioning and visual appearance of food.
- To match volume of food prepared in accordance with business thereby avoiding over-production or under-production. Right sizing of food production prevents food wastage and keeps food cost within budget.

- To be responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness of the kitchen with staff under his care observing strict rules of personal hygiene as stipulated by the National Environment Agency and in compliance with HACCP standards.
- To ensure that the kitchen runs on the approved manpower budget without incurring unnecessary expenses via overtime, etc.
- To ensure that food cost is kept within approved budget.
- To achieve a high standard of food quality which meets the expectations of hotel guests
- Responsible for the training of staff in cuisine knowledge.
