CNA is looking for a skilled Video Producer to join its team as it seeks to prioritise a ‘video first' strategy. This role is pivotal in shaping how audiences experience CNA across platforms for a digital-first audience with an emphasis on visual offerings.
As part of a fast-paced newsroom, you will film and edit podcast episodes, as well as create engaging short-form video content tailored for social media. This includes producing content for our slate of original podcasts and narrative audio documentaries.
Your work will expand CNA's reach and deepen audience engagement as we strengthen our position as a trusted news brand.
Responsibilities
Film and edit CNA's podcasts for our website, podcast platforms and social media channels, ensuring accurate, timely and polished delivery.
Set up and record discussions with multi-cam format with audio mixer - audio and video. Need to be able to turnaround a full episode - film and edit - within 24 hours.
Understand social media trends and produce engaging and creative short video content.
Support or lead livestream recordings when required.
Advise presenters and guests on technical requirements for video.
Work closely with editorial producers and digital teams, while managing freelance video technical crew as needed.
Help edit/deliver audio versions of podcasts, working with an audio mixer during recordings.
Able to work and deliver in breaking news situations.
Stay ahead of digital production trends, especially with AI tools, and experiment with creative approaches to visual and audio storytelling.
Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent experience in Mass Communication, film and sound production, video and audio engineering or related fields.
Minimum 3 years' experience in videos and/or podcast production for video platforms, ideally within a newsroom or fast-paced media environment.
Proficient in multi-camera recording with audio mixer, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Adobe ProTools.
Strong understanding of audio engineering and sound mixing.
Knowledge of vertical video formats and social-first storytelling.
Able to work with online recording tools and livestream production.
