Job Scope
  • Module Communication: Design and maintain the communication framework that links perception, navigation, localization, mapping, and external services.
  • Interface Design: Define APIs/protocols for data exchange between onboard modules (sensing, mapping, navigation) and external systems (backend, vending machine, app/web).
  • System Integration: Ensure smooth data flow and synchronization across hardware (robots, vending machines) and software platforms.
  • Robustness & Reliability: Monitor latency, bandwidth, and fault-tolerance of communication to support multi-robot task execution.
  • Collaboration: Act as the bridge between algorithm developers (SLAM, planning, multi-robot optimization) and the application/frontend team (app/web).
  • Scalability: Support future expansion, e.g., integration with multi-robot task optimization module.
Technical Skills
  • Strong background in networking & communication protocols: TCP/UDP, WebSocket, gRPC, MQTT, ROS2 DDS.
  • Experience with robotics middleware (ROS/ROS2, CyberRT, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with real-time systems and ensuring low-latency, high-reliability data transmission.
  • Backend development experience: building APIs (REST, GraphQL), handling data serialization (JSON, Protobuf, ROS messages).
  • Cloud/Edge integration: deployment on Linux servers, Docker, Kubernetes, or edge computing platforms.
  • Programming proficiency: Python, C++ (for robot modules), and one backend stack , Go, or similar).
  • Understanding of multi-robot systems and distributed communication challenges.
  • Experience with 5G / WiFi mesh / V2X communication in robotic systems.
  • Knowledge of security in communication (SSL, token-based authentication, encrypted channels).
