As an Engineer, Design, you will:
Responsible for product analyzing, design for manufacturing (DFM), tool design 3D and 2D drafting, tool review and debugging.
The key responsibilities are as below:
- Construct mold design layout and conduct mold design review meeting.
- Design precision plastic injection molds in accordance with the requirements.
- Mold management and liaise closely with internal and external customers on matters relating to mold design.
- Preparation of detail bill of material and maintain thorough documentation of hardcopy and softcopy.
- Participate in the First-Off Tool review and assess the suitability of the tool for production.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
- Possesses at least a Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, and/or any equivalent engineering discipline.
- 2 years of working experience in tool design, and/or any relevant experience.
- Experience in making LSR mold design, as well as packaging mold design is an advantage.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Unigraphics and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Familiar with engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Ability to develop complex designs to the point of manufacture and release to production.
- Knowledge of plastics & elastomers.
