The Trade Asset Distribution team is responsible for the Global Trade Solutions (GTS) Originate and Distribute strategy to be applied across existing and new transactions. The team covers all GTS products, including Structured Trade Finance (Receivables and Supply Chain Finance), Guarantees, Core Trade (FI and Corporate), Commodity Trade Finance and Asset-Backed Lending The team also interacts with several internal and external investors, including Banks, Non-Banking Financial Institutions (Asset Managers, Insurance Companies), multi-lateral institutions and Family Offices.
We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Manager, Trade Asset Distribution - GTS Asia.
The Senior Manager will work as part of an existing Trade Asset Distribution team and reporting to Head, Deal Management team. The role will be responsible for supporting and execution of distribution/ syndication of complex & innovative /bespoke deals across GTS product space with specific focus on Structured Trade Finance transactions such as Inventory Financing, Leasing and Non-bank Financial Institutions trade related financing.
Job Description
In this role, you will:
+ Support Transactors and Frontline Sales Managers in structuring, implementation and execution of GTS distribution for Asia Offices including liaising with internal stakeholders on Legal, Accounting, Tax etc
+ Negotiate with investors on distribution documentation and explain operational flow/ requirements to ensure smooth deal execution
+ Monitor utilisation of program distribution and insurance activities to ensure all relevant criteria/ conditions are not breached at any point and escalating to internal/ external stakeholders when needed
+ Coordinate with Group offices on monthly reporting, MI submissions, finance queries and perform data analytics for management consumption
+ Act as first point of contact and provide advisory to group offices on operational issues, matters relating to distribution, monitoring and assessment of outsourcing arrangement
+ Lending support and assistance to other regional and global Trade Asset Distribution team.
+ Provide business requirements to Technology functions and operations teams to build systems/ infrastructure to support distribution activities
+ Participate in the implementation and oversight of GTS policy and governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
Requirement
+ Excellent understanding of GTS Structured Trade Finance products and good understanding of other GTS Products and solutions.
+ Good understanding of bilateral risk distribution techniques as well as insurance products and ability to structure bespoke and innovative distribution solutions.
+ Good knowledge of the process of transferring/selling trade risks including legal risks and clauses. Strong understanding of how the secondary market operates and awareness of investor trends and dynamics.
+ Past working experience in a correlated role, i.e. either GTS structuring team and/or distribution, syndication or Portfolio Management
+ Experience in a Global bank structuring complex multi-jurisdictional transactions
