This role ensures that software programs and subroutines meet specifications, adhere to coding standards, and are delivered on time with the required level of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
Analyse process and program specifications to translate them into program code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
Interpret functional requirements and translate them into application design using established methodologies and guidelines.
Make changes to configurable items, including hardware, software, and documentation, covering configuration management planning, identification, controls, and audits.
Develop unit test packages, execute tests, and document results to ensure program quality.
Support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and
implementation activities, resolving reported issues to ensure smooth program execution in production.
Investigate reported problems/errors, initiate corrective amendments, and perform testing to ensure efficient system operations.
Prepare and maintain up-to-date system documentation.
Ensure developed code complies with established security guidelines.
Teamwork & Collaboration
Work closely with the team lead to ensure design and program codes conform to architecture standards and functional/system requirements.
Participate in requirements gathering and collaborate with Business Analysts to review and refine functional specifications.
Contribute to peer reviews to enhance project quality.
Build and maintain professional relationships with team members and clients to support the successful delivery of solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant software development experience.
Proficiency in SQL (Sybase).
Experience with Fiori UI5 preferred.
Full-stack (frontend/backend) software development experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of application security principles is a plus.
