The Role

The VP of Data Strategy & Architecture will report directly to the Head of Data Strategy & Architecture and will be responsible for collaborating with business users and system teams to design logical data models and build data marts based on business requirements and use cases. This role will play a key part in ensuring that data assets are structured effectively to support business analytics and decision-making.

1. Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather data requirements specific to banking products, transactions, customers, reporting, and analytics.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modelling, or data management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
3. Basic knowledge of data governance (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
4. Deep expertise in logical and physical data modelling for core banking, risk, compliance, and financial reporting domains and various analytics use cases.
5. Proficient in data modelling tools (e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner, or similar).

PURPOSE
