Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Data Governance Manager to join our organization. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing stewardship and governance policies in four key areas: manufacturing data catalog and lineage, data quality measures and improvement roadmap, domain-specific data councils and retention policy, and business processes with IT, Fab users, data councils, and Digital manufacturing team.
- Identify domain experts, form cross-functional teams, develop an inventory of Critical Data Elements (CDE)
- Develop a comprehensive manufacturing data catalog and data lineage from source to report
- Define and develop data quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and thresholds
- Establish data quality issue escalation and remediation plans
- Translate enterprise-wide data retention/custody policies to manufacturing data domain-specific retention/classification rules, considering both compliance and value capture optimization from deploying AI/ML use cases
- Guide data scientists and use case teams to identify data requirements, sources, and ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data life cycle
- Draft initial data architectures and solutions to enable use case deployment and scaling
- Partner with stakeholders across multiple sites to optimize data architecture, infrastructure, and platforms for manufacturing data management and analysis
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the manufacturing data steward and governance team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and embracing growth mindset for continuous improvement
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in data management and digital manufacturing technologies to evaluate their business value for potential use cases
Responsibilities also include performing all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs, as well as promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging (DEIB), and our organization's ESG vision and goals.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 6 years of experience in computer engineering, data science, or related roles, with a focus on digital manufacturing applications. Proven track record of leading teams within manufacturing domain, proven track record in data management in a manufacturing or industrial environment, proficiency in data governance principles, data quality management, and data integration techniques, experience with data analytics tools and platforms for extracting insights from manufacturing data, knowledge of data security standards and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing data, and excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholders' management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent, and certification in Project Management or equivalent certification are desired.
