AWS's Data Center Operations Physical Security team is looking for a forward-thinking, results-oriented, innovative and inspirational leader with proven results building high performing teams. The Regional Security Manager will have the ability to develop strategy, execute and lead data center (DC) security operations across multiple sites.
As a Regional Security Manager, you will be expected to implement and verify compliance with security procedures, standards, and policies; while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of physical security at our facilities. You will champion new initiatives for the physical security team and oversee implementation in coordination with multiple business partner teams.
The Regional Security Manager will have experience leading cross-functional teams, writing security strategies, driving processes to achieve industry-leading security and driving down costs through process improvement and technology enhancement. You will be expected to operate with autonomy, complete discretion, and your work will require significant creativity and judgment. The ideal candidate will be confident, decisive, influential and an innovative leader who can communicate a compelling and comprehensive set of outcomes to be achieved. You must be comfortable with ambiguity, and be able to define structure, processes, and standards where none yet exist. Furthermore, you will deliver on the physical security mission and tenets; mitigating risk and balancing tradeoffs in cost, efficiency and operational challenges.
Key job responsibilities
- Build trust, establish and maintain customer relationship with data center business partners to execute a comprehensive strategy that enhances security, while enabling our partners to build customer capacity.
- Responsible for planning, developing and implementing security plans and security programs such as Emergency Response and Crisis Management, Physical Security, Incident Management, while coordinating site investigations with the Global Intelligence and Investigative team.
- Maintains an extensive knowledge of complex industry trends, current security issues and security technology, and updates management on risk and threats against AWS employees and infrastructure.
- Responsible for performing continual risk analysis for the data center sites, particularly with respect to level of crime, terrorism, workplace violence, and threats from natural and man-made disasters.
- Responsible for providing leadership and best practices on security policy and practices to on-site data center management.
- Looks around corners and identifies vulnerabilities early and designs and implements a strategy to close existing or emerging security gaps and seams.
- Provides leadership and clear guidance and direction to AWS Datacenter staff as well as contract security staff to achieve current and long-range strategic security program objectives.
- Supports regional and global security leadership in conducting investigations of significant threats and/or the loss or misappropriation of assets.
- Develops and implements security standards and procedures for all contract site security coordinators.
- Liaisons with local, state, federal, and international law enforcement agencies for the locations of the Data Centers.

The Team

The Information Security team at XTX Markets are accountable for all aspects of the firm’s physical and IT security. From obtaining and transforming events and signals into actionable intelligence to helping design and implement authentication/authorisation systems, alongside third-party risk assessment and global regulatory compliance. This role is based in our Singapore office, and you will work closely with the Risk and Information Security teams in our London HQ.

The Role

As our first Information Security Analyst, you’ll work to ensure that XTX Markets’ data and infrastructure meet – and, where appropriate, exceed – the requirements of global regulators and auditors.

You will:

  • Develop and automate compliance workflows (detection, analysis, business justifications, evidence-gathering).
  • Liaise with external auditors to resolve findings and document compensating controls.
  • Manage third-party/vendor risk assessments and ongoing security reviews.

You’ll also have opportunities to contribute across the security function: improving our vulnerability-management program, enhancing our detection framework, and helping triage and respond to security alerts. You will actively collaborate with a range of stakeholders within the firm.

  • 3+ years in Information Security, with a focus on audit/compliance.
  • Programming/scripting skills (e.g. Python, PowerShell) particularly for automating repeatable tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Rapid learner with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Self-starter: able to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and admit mistakes.
  • Able to write clear, succinct business justifications and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on proficiency with vulnerability management/compliance platforms (e.g. Tenable Nessus).
  • Familiarity with Indian information-security regulations and audit practices (SEBI, NSE, etc.)
  • An academic foundation in computer science or a related subject would be beneficial.
