**Your day at NTT DATA**
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is an advanced subject matter expert, responsible for gathering data and preparing complex documents and/or reports required by the company, government, and regulatory agencies.
This role prepares detailed cash flow statements, earning release calculations and all equity related disclosures.
**Key responsibilities:**
+ Gathers and prepares data for various financial, compliance, internal, and external reports utilizing existing tools.
+ Prepares cash flow statements, earning release calculations and all equity related disclosures.
+ Provides technical accounting analysis.
+ Conducts thorough research of historical financial data.
+ Compares anticipated and actual results and identifies areas of improvement.
+ Maintains confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.
+ Analyzes financial information and reports to provide accurate financial recommendations to management.
+ Analyzes trends and results and make recommendations based on observations.
+ Prepares and reviews complex financial and regulatory reports in addition to audited statements and support schedules.
+ Drafts and delivers disclosure, technical memos and other supporting financial documentation.
+ Drives finance process improvements initiatives to create efficiencies.
+ Identifies opportunities to enhance, streamline, and automate reporting processes and research new ways to use tools to accomplish improvements.
+ Conducts transactional and operational research surrounding financial results and processes.
+ Protects the integrity of the company reporting process by producing and maintaining correct and up-to-date financial statements and data.
+ Coordinates with various departments and monitors annual and quarterly deliverables for external auditors.

+ Advanced proven experience as a Financial Reporting Analyst.
+ Advanced proven experience participating in the creation of financial reports.
+ Advanced proven hands-on experience with financial and statistical software.
+ Previous experience with methods of systems analysis, the principles, design and procedural methods used in forecasting and data analysis.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Analyst/Associate to support strategic initiatives within PE COO Office. This role involves working alongside PE Investment Teams and coordinating across multiple functional teams to ensure the success of portfolio reporting as well as data and technology enablement projects.

This position offers the opportunity to work with PE’s proprietary data, one of the largest databases of private companies. Responsibilities include identifying data gaps, engaging with stakeholders to improve data quality, helping with monitoring, and supporting reporting needs.


Key responsibilities:

  • Data Monitoring and Reporting: Be involved in creating visualisation dashboards to present data findings effectively to various stakeholders, facilitating monitoring and timely remediation.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs. Responsible for troubleshooting and conducting data testing, while providing guidance to Data and Technology Teams on complex queries and data interpretation.
  • Data Validation: Oversee data validation checks on portfolio data, ensuring data quality by promptly investigating and resolving issues in collaboration with business partners.
  • Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting: Coordinate and compile portfolio updates for reporting and assist in preparing meeting briefs and presentation slides for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field (including but not limited to Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy).
  • 2-3 years working experience in Portfolio Operations, Valuations and Reporting within a financial institution, with demonstrated proficiency in managing large volumes of data. Experience in Private Equity would be a bonus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python), experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and MS Office 365 (e.g. Sharepoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to convey effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Private Equity

GIC is a global investment firm and has one of the largest and broadest private equity programmes amongst all institutions. GIC PE invests across the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific in a range of sectors including Healthcare, Consumer, Financial services, Technology, Industrials, Sustainable Energy and Infrastructure. Besides investing through private equity fund managers, GIC PE also invests across the capital structure in equity, senior and junior debt, in secondary PE deals, restructuring & opportunistic credit and special situations. We currently have over 100 active relationships with fund managers and have invested directly in more than 1000 companies globally across multiple sectors.

Chief Operating Officer’s Office - Private Equity (PE)

The PE Chief Operating Officer Office (PE COOO) is a newly established team within the PE department and is dedicated to translating business needs into operational requirements for a scaling organization. The PE COO leads core functions in Data, Tech Enablement & Analytics, Risk & Performance Reporting, Process and Control, Business Planning Support, and Investment Operations.

The team supports the PE COO in coordinating projects and initiatives that accelerate PE’s efforts in data and technology enablement, reporting and capability building, positioning the firm for future growth.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Analyst/Associate to support strategic initiatives within PE COO Office. This role involves working alongside PE Investment Teams and coordinating across multiple functional teams to ensure the success of portfolio reporting as well as data and technology enablement projects.

This position offers the opportunity to work with PE’s proprietary data, one of the largest databases of private companies. Responsibilities include identifying data gaps, engaging with stakeholders to improve data quality, helping with monitoring, and supporting reporting needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Data Monitoring and Reporting: Be involved in creating visualisation dashboards to present data findings effectively to various stakeholders, facilitating monitoring and timely remediation.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs. Responsible for troubleshooting and conducting data testing, while providing guidance to Data and Technology Teams on complex queries and data interpretation.
  • Data Validation: Oversee data validation checks on portfolio data, ensuring data quality by promptly investigating and resolving issues in collaboration with business partners.
  • Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting: Coordinate and compile portfolio updates for reporting and assist in preparing meeting briefs and presentation slides for senior management.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field (including but not limited to Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy).
  • 2-3 years working experience in Portfolio Operations, Valuations and Reporting within a financial institution, with demonstrated proficiency in managing large volumes of data. Experience in Private Equity would be a bonus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python), experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and MS Office 365 (e.g. Sharepoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to convey effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Within Risk, the Risk Engineering (RE) department’s mandate is to provide robust metrics, data-driven insights, and effective technologies for best-in-class risk management. Analytics & Reporting (A&R) is a multidiscipline RE team with primary responsibility for such data-driven insights; the team is at the cutting edge of our businesses, with strong traditions of risk management, engineering excellence, client service and career development opportunities for our people.

A&R is responsible for reviewing, publishing, interpreting and communicating the firm’s independent and authoritative risk & capital measures, which includes:

  • Understanding financial & non-financial risk by analyzing risk & capital metrics (e.g. VaR, stress tests, operational resilience, etc.) to evaluate, explain and justify features & emerging trends observed in the Firm’s risk data.
  • Liaising with groups such as Modelers/Strats, Technologists, Trading & Investing businesses, Operations & Controllers to understand & explain observations in risk data.
  • Document & communicate the firm’s latest risk insights and explain in the context of macro and micro market events and the broader industry operating environment.
  • Follow up-to-date events that impact the financial markets and the firm’s operating environment and analyze their impact on the firm’s risk exposure.
  • Develop engaging online content to communicate curated risk insight through interactive dashboard tools.
  • Enhancing and managing processes that quantify, review, explain & convey insight for risk & capital measurements for a large, diverse set of financial products or activities covering the whole Firm. Either on an activity by activity basis or in aggregate.

- This involves developing and utilizing tools & signals to assist understanding risk & capital metrics, at varying levels of aggregation across the Firm, in order to discover insight while ensuring metrics continue to operate in line with intent.

  • Automation engineering to improve control, reduce operational risks & costs and enhance the Firm’s metric timeliness & availability increasing awareness of significant risks
  • Testing, developing & integrating new/updated workflows and documentation
  • Providing independent risk & capital metric process consulting for new or existing business activities in the Firm.
  • Coordinating with firm internal governing bodies such as Risk Committees and executive members of the firm
  • Interacting with firm external governing bodies such as external regulators and industry bodies

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a dynamic & highly creative teamwork and consensus-orientated environment
  • Exposure to industry leading market data, pricing and risk & capital models for all activities the Firm engages in.
  • Exposure to challenging quantitative problems such as modeling risks for derivatives, large scale Monte-Carlo simulations across the firm and advanced approximation techniques for risk measurements.
  • Exposure to large volumes of data (a.k.a ‘Big Data’) and the tools & techniques to interact with, and determine meaningful interpretations of, such data.
  • Development of quantitative and programming skills
  • Development of economic, financial product and market knowledge.
  • Engagement in critical internal risk management activities, and provision of data to both internal and external clients & Firm governing bodies
  • Opportunities to work with senior members of the Firm and a wide variety of groups across all areas of the Firm.

Qualifications

  • Min. 1 year of experience within a risk management role or other financial institutions
  • Experience of risk measurement and/or the delivery of regulatory projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience or keen interest to develop expertise in Liquidity risk and risk calculation methodologies
  • Interest in financial markets and risk management, motivated by learning and continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships remotely with people from different departments and levels of seniority
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
  • Ability to work independently, form own judgment/opinions, provide insights and drive change

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in areas of Funding, Treasury or Liquidity Risk management at a financial services organization or a large consulting firm
  • Delivering risk information through data analytics or building visualizations using SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Python is desirable
  • Good understanding of regulatory landscape (e.g., Reg YY, LCR, NSFR, PRA110, ALMM, Recovery/Resolution Plan etc.) and exposure to liquidity risk frameworks related to deposits, unsecured/secured funding, derivatives or prime brokerage

The Wealth Regulatory Reporting Operations Analyst is an individual contributor's role who is responsible for ensuring complete, accurate and timely regulatory reporting submissions, including exceptions resolution and process improvements in coordination with the Wealth Regulatory Reporting Operations team. The overall objectives of this role are strengthening Operational Regulatory Reporting processes, Governance and detection of issues, link between Product & regulatory reporting and increase awareness and knowledge on regulatory reporting.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Preparation and submission of regulatory reports covering different jurisdictions and products
+ Resolving issues related to regulatory reporting
+ Communicate operational changes arising from remediation or process or control enhancements to Operations & Technology
+ Develop Business Requirements for system-related enhancements and End to end management of implementation of new or amended regulations
+ Reconciliation of positions and ensuring of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting
