Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandise Operations Associate with a focus on SKU setup to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that products are accurately entered into our inventory management system and are readily available for sale across various channels. The ideal candidate will process strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities & Duties


  • SKU set-up and maintenance in the inventory management system.
  • Verification of SKU data accuracy in various operating systems.
  • Creation/Maintenance of Item Master foundation information (Merchandise Hierarchy, Attributes, Differentiators).
  • Ensure all product information is accurate, and proactively address discrepancies.
  • Support and coordinate Merchants, Inventory Management, DC, and Call Center requests.
  • Work closely with the Merchandise Operations Lead and cross-functional teams.
  • Allocate task effectively, monitor performance, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provide timely responses to SKU-related inquiries and ensure efficient issue resolution
  • Coordinate/Change/Confirm Shipping methods by working with Merchants and the DC
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in SKU management.
  • Administrative tasks as needed.


Job Holder’s Competencies & Experience


  • 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Strong focus on accuracy and detail to ensure data integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrate time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to track items and work in multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be flexible & able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience in the merchandise operations, inventory management, or a related role is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities

This role is a key part of the Enterprise Data Governance Team, supporting the Head of Enterprise Data Governance in shaping and delivering data quality initiatives across the Group, aligned with the Bank’s strategy. In this role, you will work closely with Business, Support, and Technology teams to initiate projects, gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver on agreed project outcomes within stipulated timelines.

Your main responsibilities are to:

  • Support the UOB Group-wide Data Governance strategy and the adoption of the data governance framework, policy and processes; incorporating best practices and industry standards across different jurisdictions where the Bank operates
  • Drive the adoption and improvement of operational governance of enterprise data, through activities such as defining data quality requirements, guiding data lineage exploration and designing data quality monitoring mechanisms and related controls
  • Project management and execute Critical Data Monitoring initiatives via Project Steering Committee and Project Working Groups
  • Develop strong partnerships with key internal and external parties ensuring that project expectations and data governance expectations are understood and achieved
  • Perform data profiling using SQL and/or Python on large datasets to identify potential data quality issues and create intelligent data quality rules
  • Validate and document technical implementation of data quality rules and processes to ensure data quality assurance activities are fit for requirement with users
  • Execute technical analysis on data management processes including root cause analysis and data lineage tracing, working with relevant stakeholders across the data lifecycle
  • Actively support remediation coordination including tactical and strategic solutioning of data quality issues
  • Define, socialize, seek endorsement, and maintain key Data Governance artefacts and processes including: frameworks, policies, standards, guidelines and target operating models
  • Participate in the development of data standards incorporating industry best practices across Data Quality, Metadata, Reference data and Master data
  • Be an agent of change and inculcate data governance culture and discipline across the Bank’s business and technical processes
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing or related disciplines with at least 8-10 years of working experience in the banking industry, or consulting industry with strong exposure to Financial Services
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience within Data Governance discipline including data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK), data stewardship/ownership models and data quality management
  • Knowledge of data governance industry best practice and regulatory requirements such as BCBS 239, MAS 626, AML/KYC, FATCA, GDPRA etc.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in project management or change management
  • Strong technical knowledge in relation to Python, SQL, Big Data Platforms, ETL Tools and Metadata tools
  • Evidenced project delivery with cross functional stakeholders from both technical and business domains
  • Good understanding of data management and related disciplines, such as data architecture, data quality and metadata
  • Professional certification in data governance (e.g., DAMA CDMP, Collibra, DGSP, CIMP), risk management (e.g., GARP, PRIMIA) are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability as team player and self starter, ability to conduct initiatives independently.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, managing reconciliation processes, handling data issues, and supporting end users through documentation and UAT activities. Candidates must be CAT-1 cleared and possess relevant domain knowledge in investment data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis to support investment operations and reporting.
  • Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot data reconciliation and quality check processes.
  • Manage and resolve data-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
  • Collaborate with business users to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Respond to queries from end users and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs.
  • Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation.
  • Apply investment data domain knowledge to improve data accuracy and usability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and governance standards are met.

Requirements:

  • CAT-1 cleared or eligible.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and data issue management.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience in data reconciliation and quality assurance processes.
  • Strong documentation skills for technical and functional specifications .
  • Familiarity with investment data and financial instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, logical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet SLA-driven deadlines.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Tableau for data visualization.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or Denodo platforms.

CRA Application consists of:
CRA OPA (Oracle Policy Automation) engine, which is a rule-based system without any data repository. It consumes data from various CDD systems and assigns a rating to clients from A-E based on predefined business rules

CRA MM (Model Management ): The CRA Model Management process is to validate the ratings are correct as per the OPA engine ratings. CRA model management is Performed in SAS by building a statistical model which simulates OPA engine calculations in SAS. It’s performed to see to check any discrepancies in ratings or data quality.

CRA T3: Aggregation of Transaction data

Activities to be performed for 200+ data attributes belong to CRA

Responsibility:

1, Data Design Review– to check standards/ data ownership/ data sourcing fill gaps if any.

2. Data Lineage Discovery and Documentation in enterprise metadata management tool (both upstream and downstream). Include cleaning up the lineage for systems if no requirement to consume CRA data.

3. DQ Controls Assessment – with GPOS/System Owners

4. Review existing M7 issues and plan resolution

5. Documentation of Impact Assessment for all consumers of CRA data

6. Data Handshakes review and completion.
