What You Will Be Working On
As a data governance consultant, you will be working on one or more of the following functional roles:
Manage data assets in the organisation by keeping track of how and where data is utilised across various operational functions
Develop and refine ISD's data strategy, highlighting key priorities and define KPIs to measure impact
Enact timely data policies, processes and standards to enable secure data operations
Explore, design and implement innovative processes and technical measures to protect ISD's data assets
Identify and assess potential risks in data and AI projects, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
Implement measures to improve ISD's risk resiliency
Promote a vibrant data and analytics environment in the organisation
What We Are Looking For
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics and other related disciplines
Self-driven and motivated individual
Competent writing skills and comfortable working with data and the use of digital tools
Relevant experience and certifications (e.g. CISSP, PDPA, CIPM) would be advantageous

This is an analytical and execution-focused role that also requires strong collaboration, project management, and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities and Objectives
- Support the establishment and nurturing of relationships with Data Estate Information Providers (IPs).
- Explore partnership options and other collaboration opportunities with IPs.
- Negotiate data license agreements with new and existing IPs.
- Contribute to proactive risk management to ensure business continuity related to data supply.
- Monitor regional and global market trends related to data sourcing options and the evolving IP ecosystem.
- Gather and maintain knowledge on the landscape of IPs relevant to Moody’s business needs.
- Contribute to identifying the best sources for specific use cases, including supporting build vs. buy analyses.
- Manage IP onboarding processes, including due diligence and vendor management activities.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years’ experience with preference given to relationship management, partnership management or sales collaborations in the data industry.
- Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and geographies.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commercially astute mindset.
- Experience in contract review and negotiation processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with diverse data types (e.g., company, financial, news, alternative data) and their application in business use cases.
- Understanding of market trends in data acquisition, partnerships, and AI-driven solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and project management capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, adhering to tight deadlines.
- Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and a "can-do" attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.
- Good knowledge of English, proficiency in any Asian language is an asset
- Willingness to undertake occasional business travel as required.
