Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Data Analytics professional to support the development, implementation and enhancement of enterprise-wide AML/ CFT and Sanctions programs. This role will working cross-functionally to provide datadriven insights that help detect, prevent, and mitigate financial crime risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data analytics frameworks to monitor AML/CFT, Sanctions Surveillance programs
  • Analyse large datasets from internal systems to identify suspicious patterns, transaction anomalies, and emerging threats
  • Design and execute queries, dashboards, and reports to support ongoing surveillance and investigations
  • Assist in developing rule-based and risk-based scenarios for transaction monitoring and screening

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in financial crime/AML/Compliance

Skills and Knowledge

  • Must have working knowledge of transaction monitoring systems and AML tools
  • Experience in financial institutions, law enforcement, intelligence/analysis, or regulatory environment is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic, data-driven mindset

What you'll do

  • Support the Analytics Director and Manager with their daily analytics tasks and ongoing projects
  • Assist in data validation and maintaining dashboards and analytics reports (e.g., using Power BI or Excel)
  • Support ETL tasks to ensure high data quality
  • Helps automate basic reporting workflows with guidance
    Learn to integrate data from multiple sources (ie. Using PowerQuery, Snowflake, Python, and other tools)

What you'll need

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related)
  • Strong interest in data analytics and willingness to learn new tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with Excel; exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python, Snowflake is a plus but not required

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and generate detailed learning reports using various analytics platforms to provide stakeholders with actionable insights on key learning metrics and programme effectiveness.
  • Ensure the integrity and cleanliness of learning data by implementing robust data management practices, validating data sources, and regularly auditing datasets to support accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Identify and implement processes to continuously review, track metrics, and assess training objectives and effectiveness.
  • Assist in maintaining and managing learning systems and tools, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and user accessibility to support effective learning experiences.
  • Assist in designing learning communication materials and Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) campaigns to effectively convey learning content and engage learners.
  • Support the coordination of trainer's availability and training logistics for in-house learning
  • Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in implementing learning content aligned with business strategy.
  • Ad-hoc projects/duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, power point)
  • Well-Versed in Data Analytics
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
