Role Overview

As VP of Data Management & Analytics, you will collaborate with various business units and regional offices to support data initiatives. Your focus will be on aligning data utilization with business objectives and promoting data analytics to facilitate strategic decision-making. You will understand business requirements, identify opportunities to leverage data for insights, operational efficiencies, and growth, and work closely with business units to resolve data quality issues and improve data availability, usability, and literacy to achieve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage stakeholders to identify and prioritize data-driven improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement data analytics solutions for business challenges.
  • Conduct design workshops to co-design solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Create dashboards to communicate insights and support decision-making.
  • Ensure data solutions comply with data management and governance policies.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Governance, Management, or MIS/Reporting.
  • Subject matter expertise with practical experience in data analytics solutions within banking and financial sectors.
  • Strong business acumen and advanced technical skills with a history of delivering strategic data initiatives.
  • Proficiency in BI tools like QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, with experience in creating dashboards and reports.
  • Strong Python/R programming skills and experience in developing machine learning models.
  • Experience in data management, integration, governance, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Experience in data discovery, root cause analysis, and resolving data quality issues.
  • Knowledge of metadata and master data management.
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks, UI/UX principles, and analytics best practices.
  • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation is advantageous.

Accountabilities

• Coordinate/Advise all the project teams (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain, Completion & Commissioning, and subcontractors) to ensure information and data requirements are understood and complied with

o Coordinate with Engineers or each discipline members to ensure the information/data quality within the schedule

o MODEC started to focus on complying with Information and Data Management requirements, and understanding from different departments/stakeholders are crucial, so we need someone who can really involve departments and work closely to build not only protocols but also an organizational understanding and culture towards Information and Data Management

• Coordinate with Digital/IT team to ensure that the Project DB and Tools are properly setup as per project requirement

o Enterprise Data Platform/Data Management Program and Information and Data Management related tools are under development from scratch in MODEC, hence great collaborator to provide necessary input/feedback to Digital/IT team is required (need wholistic and long-term view to contribute to the enterprise level architecture, rather than solely standing on the project requirements view)


Quality Assurance / Reporting

• Identify issues related to data quality, and coordinate with/support stakeholders populating the data to eliminate the issues

• Monitor data quality KPIs to reflect the Project Information and Data Management status


Job Requirements

• 8-10 years experiences or Information Management position in Oil & Gas filed EPC contractor

• Background of either Mechanical, Piping, Electrical or Instrument Engineer experience in EPC contractor would be a big plus

• Background of Mechanical Completion & Commissioning Coordinator, CMMS Engineer or Application Engineer (AVEVA)

• Engineering/Science bachelor or master’s degree

• Good understanding of systems and software related EPCI and O&M (e.g. AVEVA, SAP, EDMS, Completion, CMMS)

• Communicative/ great team player

• Stakeholder management skills

• Familiar with Digital transformation
