Salary: $2,500 - $2,800 inclusive CPF (attractive commission available on top)
About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and well-presented Gallery Assistant to join our team. At a high level, the role will encompass:
- Supporting the Gallery Director across our operations.
- Welcoming visitors and collectors.
- Assisting with sales and post-sales, such as organising and handling deliveries and installations.
- Handling aspects of administration and marketing.
- Attending and supporting at regional art fairs in markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia etc
This role is best suited to someone with a strong background / interest in a career in the arts space. There is attractive bonuses available through commission of sold artworks, and the opportunity to gain broad exposure to the entire operations.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and engage visitors, providing information about exhibitions and artworks
- Handle sales enquiries, prepare quotations, and process transactions
- Maintain a clean, professional, and inviting gallery environment
- Assist with exhibition preparation, artwork handling, and inventory updates
- Liaise with artists, collectors, and logistics partners as needed
- Travel locally and regionally to assist with art fairs and offsite events
- Support administrative tasks such as updating price lists, catalogues, and client databases
- Support with marketing as/when required, such as handling social media and website updates
- A genuine interest in art and design
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, well-spoken, and customer-oriented
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word etc)
- Able and willing to work weekends, particularly Saturdays.
- Willing and able to travel for regional art fairs as needed (e.g., Jakarta, Hong Kong, etc.)
- Prior experience in an art gallery, art fair, or retail sales environment
- Basic knowledge of art handling or installation
- Design or social media skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Instagram management)

We're looking for an Art Gallery Intern to support our gallery team in day-to-day operations, client engagement, and event coordination. This is a hands-on opportunity for anyone passionate about art and design to gain practical exposure in gallery management and creative business operations within a dynamic startup environment.
What You'll Do
You'll work alongside our founders and creative team to ensure the smooth running of the gallery and contribute to both operational and creative functions.
Gallery Operations
- Support daily gallery operations including opening/closing duties, upkeep of artwork displays, and maintaining an inviting environment for visitors.
- Assist with cataloguing artworks, updating artist records, and managing inventory databases.
- Coordinate logistics for deliveries, installations, and deinstallations of artworks.
- Ensure the gallery and exhibition spaces reflect MCQ Land's brand and design ethos.
Sales & Client Engagement
- Prospecting potential clients and assisting in sales of artworks.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with artists, collectors, and visitors.
- Understand and respond to client preferences, assisting them in selecting artworks that match their aesthetic and practical needs.
- Support in handling client enquiries, both in person and online.
Events & Exhibitions
- Assist with the preparation and execution of art exhibitions, private previews, and curated gallery events.
- Attend art fairs and community events to represent MCQ Land's creative initiatives and connect with partners.
- Support marketing and communications efforts, including photography, social media posts, and event content creation.
Administrative & Creative Support
- Prepare artwork information sheets, price lists, and exhibition materials.
- Update CRM and contact databases.
- Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini) for drafting captions, event copy, or exhibition texts.
- Contribute ideas to improve gallery presentation, visitor experience, and community engagement.
