Culture Pass Promoter Role
">Job DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and engaging individual to promote the SG Culture Pass campaign at various locations across Singapore.
This role involves promoting the benefits of the SG Culture Pass to the public, guiding users through the redemption process, providing information about participating arts & heritage institutions and current exhibitions/programmes, assisting visitors with Q&A on SG Culture Pass, and collecting feedback from users and reporting common issues or suggestions.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic digital literacy, and familiarity with mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with members of the public at promotional events to showcase the benefits of the SG Culture Pass.
- Guide users through the redemption process, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Provide information about participating arts & heritage institutions and current exhibitions/programmes.
- Assist visitors with Q&A on SG Culture Pass.
- Collect feedback from users and report common issues or suggestions.
- Strong Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
- Interpersonal Skills : Ability to build rapport with members of the public and work effectively in a team environment.
- Digital Literacy : Basic knowledge of digital tools and mobile applications.
Contract Duration: 6 weeks.
Locations: Island wide (different location every week).
Working Hours:
5 days/week (8 hours per day, mix of weekdays and weekends)
Based on assigned centre's operating hours (10am - 6pm)

What the role is:
The Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) managed by the National Heritage Board, traces the history of the Indian and South Asian community in the Southeast Asian region. The General Manager oversees the management and operations of IHC in order to preserve and promote Singapore’s shared heritage and culture; IHC aims to leave legacies towards a shared future through its exhibitions, education and outreach programmes and publications.
Key Outcomes
- To develop IHC into a leading Heritage Institution and focal point for the Indian community
- To groom and achieve a high performing team of IHC officers
- To promote understanding of Singapore’s Indian culture and reach out to the community at-large
- To establish strong partnerships, networks and build advocates amongst the Indian community
Responsibilities
- Achieve IHC’s vision, goals and work plans by assessing and improving strategic objectives; monitor and evaluate divisional KPIs
- Oversee the management and operations of IHC, including planning of programmes, publications and projects for IHC
- Oversee all administrative, financial, human resource and estate management matters
- Supervise and develop a diverse team of IHC officers including curators, educators and programmers
- Establish and enhance relations with IHC Board, governmental and community stakeholders, partners and donors
- Oversee IHC marketing and communication efforts including websites and social media platforms
- Spearhead fundraising and public relations activities
- Facilitate collaborations and partnerships with both local and foreign institutions, organizations and associations
Requirements
- Preferably at least 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the arts and heritage sectors
- Due to the nature of this role, incumbent has to possess good command of English and Tamil (verbal and written); any additional language, especially those commonly used in Singapore will be an asset
- Strong leadership, highly independent and resourceful
- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and business partnering skills
- Self-motivated, result-oriented and full of drive
- Possess diplomatic sensitivity; willing to accept and work on day-to-day challenges
- Able to work irregular hours when required
