Responsibilities
You will be the primary technical point of contact for potential customers during the sales process, owning and driving technical wins for security opportunities. You will engage with other teams within and outside the organization throughout the sales cycle, including partners in sell-with scenarios, and support their technical capabilities to scale solution delivery.
You will leverage your deep technical understanding of Data Security architectures, solutions, and technologies including Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, and Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).
You will coordinate weekly with sellers and managers to understand opportunities, competitive scenarios, and engagement focus, driving towards technical decisions.
You will remediate blockers, lead, and ensure technical wins for Microsoft Security and related technologies. You will proactively engage with customers, build credibility as a trusted advisor, and utilize customer references to drive consumption and facilitate post-sales deployment.
You will develop strategies and recommendations to improve clients’ data security posture, shape technical win plans, and tailor Microsoft messaging to various audiences for security opportunities. You will also enhance team capabilities in cloud-native data security architectures and develop differentiated strategies for your assigned customers.
You will lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and architecture design sessions, explaining and architecting solutions to address customer security challenges and priorities.
You will demonstrate and oversee proofs of concept, present architecture patterns, and ensure integration into customer environments. You will also support cross-workload solutions and coach teams to adapt to new or evolving technologies to meet customer needs.

You will be a part of an independent risk management function to protect the firm’s information technology assets, including business data, from external threats and operational risks, and to facilitate the firm’s digitalisation journey in a secure manner.

What will you do as an VP, Data Security and Protection Engineer:
Identify and recommend improvement areas in existing enterprise security architecture to address evolving cybersecurity threats
Align and balance business requirements with cybersecurity, information, and technology requirements, based on the organization’s risk appetite
Evaluate, perform proof-of-value/proof-of-concept, design, build and implement enterprise-class cybersecurity systems
Develop integrated security operating models and documentations to ensure operational efficiency, scalability, and sustainability
Act as a domain expert and trusted partner in Cyber Security & Resilience; work closely with stakeholders in Technology Group and other business groups on cybersecurity engineering related matters.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
At least 10 years of relevant experience preferably in financial services or asset management industries, with minimum 7 years in Cyber Security or Information Security.
Hands-on experience in implementing and operationalizing data security solutions and data protection, for both structured and un-structured data. Specifically:
Data discovery, classification, and labelling
Data encryption, masking, tokenization
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Enterprise Digital Rights Management / Information Rights Management
Privacy Enhancing Technologies and Confidential Computing
Key and certificate management
Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
Access controls
Secure file transfer and data store (including SaaS solutions)
Familiarity with cloud security and data security and protection in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Scripting and coding skills, with proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or similar programming languages, and good understanding of REST API’s and JSON.
Familiarity with cloud security and data security and protection in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Working experience with other cybersecurity products such as SIEM, threat intelligence, security incident response and forensic investigation, network and endpoint protection, and others, would be advantageous.
Ability to produce detailed documentation, including design diagrams and process flows.
Must be meticulous, versatile, and inquisitive, having strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
Desire to learn, working in a diverse environment, interacting with multiple teams and functions to support strategic goals. Be a good team player and excellent communicator.

- Oversee implementation of physical security policies and procedures.
- Manage security & safety incidents and coordinate incident response teams.
- Gather and retrieve data center reported incidents and take appropriate action.
- Perform analysis to detect security threats, risks, and alerts, escalating as necessary.
- Manage access control, including internal and external access requests, audit of access control lists, and permissions management.
- Oversee CCTV and security camera systems, shipment compliance, and vendor/employee hand carry procedures.
- Implement security protocols to protect personnel and assets, including media sanitization, hardware management, and security hardware troubleshooting.
- Support data center operations, including decommissions, migrations, and vendor management from a security perspective.
- Participate in physical audits for security and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and standards.
- Review infrastructure maintenance impacts and coordinate change requests.
- Manage internal/external ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA), track requests, and associate project-related tickets.
- Coordinate security initiatives with data centers and external teams, supporting process improvements.

- Schedule onsite technicians, perform site audits, and oversee reverse logistics activities.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, experience in security operations and project management across stakeholders and time zones, familiarity with tracking platforms, and a focus on process improvement. Prior experience in fast-paced environments, especially in Telco/Infrastructure sectors, managing vendors and data centers, is preferred.
