The role will be part of the Market Platforms strategy team to drive measurable results through impactful thought leadership campaigns. What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Lead the development and implementation of compliance & AML programs tailored to digital asset trading activities in Singapore.
  2. Handle daily compliance/AML inquiries related to digital asset trading on various platforms and OTC derivatives.
  3. Monitor regulatory developments in digital assets within Singapore and assess their impact on the business.
  4. Identify surveillance and reporting requirements, supporting related projects.
  5. Coordinate with MAS/regulators, serving as the primary contact for inquiries, examinations, and audits.
  6. Manage external communications with counterparties, including marketing materials and disclosures.
  7. Support the global AML team in executing worldwide policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in finance, quantitative finance, risk, or related fields.
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in Singapore’s digital asset industry or with MAS, particularly in compliance roles.
  • Deep understanding of Payment Services Act - Digital Payment Token Services and AML regulations in Singapore.
  • Experience working directly with MAS on operational, AML, and licensing matters.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying AML and compliance programs in digital assets.
  • Familiarity with blockchain monitoring tools, surveillance products, and programming skills such as Python, SQL, VBA, Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, reliability, teamwork, eagerness to learn, and adaptability.

As the Compliance Officer – Digital Assets , in our Singapore office, you’ll join our global compliance team and work with the Head of Compliance for APAC region. Our environment is dynamic and fast-paced, and we are looking for someone who is energized by our innovative culture. Success in this role means a strong knowledge of financial markets, commitment and dedication to the team, and a keen attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the planning, development and implementation of firm’s compliance & AML program specific to the needs of the firm’s digital asset trading activities in Singapore.
  • Address day-to-day compliance/AML related questions regarding digital asset trading on venues/exchanges and over the counter spot and derivatives trading.
  • Track the evolving regulatory landscape within the digital assets industry; review and analyze regulatory requirements in Singapore and potential impact to the business.
  • Identify surveillance and reporting requirements in Singapore and assist in execution of related projects as needed.
  • Liaise with MAS/regulators and serve as regulatory point person for inquiries, examinations and audits.
  • Lead/own compliance for all external communications with counterparties, including targeting prospective counterparties from various jurisdictions, marketing materials, website disclosures etc.
  • Support the global DRW AML team in executing policies and procedures applied globally to all DRW entities

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in finance, quantitative finance, risk or related studies.
  • 10 to 15 years relevant experience in the digital asset industry in Singapore (experience in compliance dept.) or with MAS.
  • Have a deep knowledge and thorough understanding of Payment Services Act - Digital Payment Token Services rules and regulations including operational and reporting requirements.
  • Have a deep knowledge and thorough understanding of AML rules and regulations in Singapore including but not limited to PSN2 notice.
  • Direct experience in dealing with the MAS directly for matters such as providing information related to day-to-day operations, AML, audits, adhoc requests, surveys etc. in connection with the PSA MPI (DPT) license.
  • Experience designing and implementing AML programs in the digital asset industry
  • Experience designing and deploying quality control/quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with applicable law.
  • Proficiency with blockchain monitoring tools.
  • Reliable and courteous team player with great communication skills.
  • Eager to learn; able to grow from mistakes and accept feedback.
  • Excel/VBA/SQL/Python skills and familiarity with surveillance products are a plus.
