  • Night shift (priority): ~12:30 am–6:00 am (6 hrs)

Role & responsibilities
  • Airway & ventilator care: Tracheostomy suction, stoma care, ties/dressing changes; humidification/HME filters; interface checks; alarm troubleshooting; emergency decannulation protocol (spare trach same size & −1 size).
  • Ventilator & cough-assist: Routine use per protocol; secretion management; escalate when parameters/secretions change.
  • Feeding & meds: PEG feeds/flushes; strict aspiration precautions; safe medication administration per family protocol.
  • Monitoring & documentation: Vitals, pulse oximetry, secretion color/volume, skin integrity/pressure injury prevention; concise notes after each shift.

Required qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (SNB) + valid Practising Certificate (mandatory).

  • ≥2 years ICU/HDU/ED experience, including tracheostomy and preferably home or step-down ventilator care.
  • Confident with PEG care, secretion management, and emergency escalation.
Nice-to-have
  • Familiarity with Philips/ResMed/Vivo/Trilogy home ventilators; CoughAssist E70 (or similar).
  • Experience in community/home nursing; ability to teach caregivers basic tasks safely.
Roster & pay

  • Approach patients/Next-Of-Kins to offer decant

  • Process decant nanarwork with PSAs

To follow up with Customer Contact Centre or the respective Specialist Outpatient Clinics on the appointment taking of A&E urgent referrals (<5 days)

  • Patient Administration System (SAP) error cases

To foliow up on the rectification of SAP error cases including:

  • Error (C&S Report) Rectification, in SAP within 3 days

  • Escalating Information Technology-related errors to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and SAP teams

  • Extended Diagnostic Treatment Unit cases exceeding 24 hours

  • Patient Experience Ambassador

  • To coordinate with the clinical and operations teams to address feedback received on the ground in a timely manner to enhance patient experience

  • To coordinate on settlement of patients with discharge issues with nursing and medical social workers

(B) GENERAL

  1. To support corporate activities and community projects

  2. To participate in the execution of the Department Action Plan.

  3. Takes on additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Management of flow and decantment of patients Role

  1. Decantment

To work with A&E doctors, nurses and Patient Service Associates (PSAs) to

  • Identify patients suitable for decant to the following institutions:

o another acute hospital

o community hospital

o nursing or care home

  • Halt assignatlon of beds prior to confiration/rejection of decant offer

  • Approach patients/Next-Of-Kins to offer decant

  • Process decant nanarwork with PSAs

  • Process decant paperwork with PSAs

  • Follow-up to ensure transfer is completed

  • Urgent referrals(<5 days)

To follow up with Customer Contact Centre or the respective Specialist Outpatient Clinics on the appointment taking of A&E urgent referrals (<5 days)

  1. Referral reverts

When Customer Contact Centre returns an A&E referral back to A&E (e.g. when referred department suggests an alternative referral destination), Senior PSA to:

  • Seek the opinion of the attending doctors who know the cases first-hand

  • Consult the P3 A&E senior doctor on duty for their assessment of the referrals

  • Patient Administration System (SAP) error cases

To foliow up on the rectification of SAP error cases including:

  • Error (C&S Report) Rectification, in SAP within 3 days

  • Escalating Information Technology-related errors to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and SAP teams

  • Extended Diagnostic Treatment Unit cases exceeding 24 hours

  • Patient Experience Ambassador

  • To coordinate with the clinical and operations teams to address feedback received on the ground in a timely manner to enhance patient experience

  • To coordinate on settlement of patients with discharge issues with nursing and medical social workers

(B) GENERAL

  1. To support corporate activities and community projects

  2. To participate in the execution of the Department Action Plan.

  3. Takes on additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Diploma Holder

  • Relevant working experience is preferred

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Possess positive attitude, initiative, and keenness to learn

(B) SPECIALISED TRAINING

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of statistics

Job Title : ICU Staff Nurse (ICU Trained)
Location : Bishan Hospital, Singapore
Position : Full-Time, Rotating Shifts (3 Shifts)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct and continuous nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
Monitor vital signs and administer prescribed treatments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
Document and report patient progress accurately.
Participate in rotating 3-shift schedule (morning, evening, and night shifts).
Requirements
Valid nursing registration with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
ICU-trained with relevant experience in an ICU setting.
Strong clinical skills, ability to make quick decisions in critical situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Compassionate, patient-centered care with attention to detail.
