About The Role
The credit department at Revolut is anything but ordinary. They design, develop, and launch credit products across the globe. The team manages our products from day one to the end — developing the back and front-end, the data science infrastructure, and then creating a local setup in each country with scalable risk management and portfolio management solutions.
As a Credit Manager, you'll be responsible for designing credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for Revolut’s retail lending products. You'll be managing validation of the underwriting strategy, as well as leading the charge for preventative and reactive actions to the market and product offering.

What You’ll Be Doing
Developing account-level valuation frameworks for underwriting credit policies, using NPV framework to optimise portfolio-level economic returns
Making data-driven decisions with a special focus on marginal decision-making
Managing credit limits, risk-based pricing, retention strategies, over-limit policies, etc.
Adjusting risk return requirements and managing/adjusting portfolio returns as new data comes to light
Supporting the annual budget forecast, from assessment through analysis and delivery
Tracking, communicating, and drawing insights from performance of ongoing initiatives, while staying on top of credit KPIs through intensive monitoring
Identifying operational inefficiencies and managing the implementation of small-scale change within the Credit department
Ensuring approval and good rating of first-line credit risk function from 2nd/3rd line and regulators
What You'll Need
A proven track record of managing the risk cycle for retail credit products, like credit cards, unsecured personal loans, etc.
A bachelor's degree from a top university in an quantitative/analytical field, such as engineering, statistics, physics, maths, economics, or management
A solid understanding of credit policy governance frameworks to work through 2nd/3rd line of defence in a competent manner
To deliver excellent results that exceed requirements
To be forward-thinking to plan appropriately, meet multiple objectives, and proactively identify/resolve issues
A solid understanding of credit and behavioural scoring models, especially for retail credit products
The ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, simple manner
To understand the value of speed to market and balance between elegant problem-solving and business needs of the hour
Nice to have
A master's degree
Excellent working knowledge of SQL, R, Python, and/or other data analysis tools

  • To lead a team of credit managers and manage portfolio quality of the team.

Job holder is responsible for the second line of defence responsibilities related to Credit Risk, which involves oversight and challenge of risk management actions from the First Line, including the following:

  • The Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework ("ERMF") with regards to Credit Risk, which sets out the Group's approach to risk management and the control framework within which risks are managed and risk-return trade-offs are made. Ensure that the relevant first and second line owners understand and accept their risk management responsibilities.
  • The Group's Risk Appetite Framework, with regards to Credit Risk, which sets out the Group's appetite to material risk types that it is exposed to. Jobholder, monitor compliance to Board approved risk appetite using the risk information report covering principal risk-types Credit Risk; and highlight significant matters to the attention of senior management and senior risk committees.
  • Ensure a robust effectiveness review process for the ERMF with regards to Credit Risk and escalate significant matters and/or gaps in ERMF implementations to senior management and the relevant Board level committees as relevant.

Wholesale lending decision responsibilities

Being responsible for final credit decision for wholesale lending facilities pertaining to CIB Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

To assist SCO Singapore to achieve the following:

  • Ensuring that the quality of Business Credit Applications (BCAs) meets Group standards, particularly with regards to the completeness and depth of risk analysis.
  • Approving breaches of Portfolio Standards, to the extent permitted by Credit Policy.
  • Formulating and obtaining approval of Portfolio Standards which is supportive (from credit risk perspective) of the business strategy of various segments.
  • Ensuring timely submission and accuracy of Singapore credit portfolio data to the Risk Committee. These
  • include, but may not be limited to, the following:
  • Risk MI reports
  • All approved exposures in CIB (as required by local regulator Reporting)
  • Details of approved breaches of Group and Local Credit Policy (including details of mitigating circumstances)
  • Country Risk exposure
  • Monitoring compliance with credit policy and Portfolio Standards a monthly basis at least and reviewing any divergence thereof with the CEO, Client Coverage (CC) Head/Segment Heads to ensure credit quality targets are achieved.
  • Ensure Early Alert Review ("EAR") process adhered to and lead monthly EAR discussions.

  • Ensure compliance to the Operational Risk Framework including the effective application of risk toolkit (self- assessment), KRIs, KCSs, etc) and reporting.

  • Assess the credit risk profile of the CIB Singapore portfolios, maintaining alignment with risk appetite by rebalancing of risks or controls that may be required in response to internal and external factors.
  • Initiate stress tests as required by internal and external factors and review results and assess their implications.
  • Ensure that effective management response plans are in place to respond to extreme but plausible scenarios.
  • Uphold the integrity of risk/return decisions, by challenging business to demonstrate that risk origination and control decisions are properly informed and consistent with strategy and risk appetite.
  • Direct appropriate response to material events or other risk issues that come to Senior Credit Manager, CIB Singapore attention.
  • Exercise risk control responsibility for Credit Risk for CIB Singapore portfolios.
  • Ensure risk capabilities are objective, consistent and compliant with applicable regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role

Lead credit risk management for SME and personal loans — shaping policies, analyzing portfolios, and driving sound, compliant credit decisions in line with MAS standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess creditworthiness of SME and personal loan applicants through in-depth financial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain credit risk frameworks, policies, and scoring models.
  • Monitor loan portfolios to identify risk concentrations and ensure diversification.
  • Ensure full compliance with MAS and internal governance requirements.
  • Implement fraud prevention controls and strengthen early warning systems.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations to balance business growth with prudent risk control.
  • Lead and mentor credit analysts, fostering a culture of strong credit discipline.
  • Present regular portfolio insights and risk reports to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; CFA/FRM preferred.
  • 7–10 years' experience in credit risk management (SME or personal loans).
  • Deep understanding of MAS credit regulations and risk assessment frameworks.
  • Strong financial analysis and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communicator with leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analytics for credit evaluation.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
You will be part of the credit team that will monitor the credit quality of the asset portfolio and assist in the independent credit assessment on new and existing credit proposals and report on account performance.
Perform credit assessment on new credit proposals and review existing accounts.
Report on account and portfolio performance.
Provide financial analysis and projections.
Identify key risks and mitigating factors in your credit evaluation.
Plan and organise to ensure the credit review workflow can be ready for the approval process in a timely manner.
Additionally, you will participate in portfolio stress tests, review program lending guidelines, and update lending guidelines, risk policies, and reporting on business segments, industry, and country knowledge.
Qualifications & Experiences
Degree with 8 to 10 years’ relevant banking experience.
Proven experience in credit risk assessment with a bank.
Good credit analysis and writing skills.
Good command of both written and spoken English and spoken Chinese.
