What the role is
The National Arts Council seeks an intern who is keen to support the Singapore Art Week (SAW) team and the broader Visual Arts team. As SAW takes place in January, candidates must be prepared for extended working hours during this period.
What you will be working on
- Support the SAW team in the delivery of the marketing and communications campaign
- Assist in data collation, data entry and maintenance of SAW events database across stakeholders including arts groups, partners, and cultural institutions
- Maintain and update content for the SAW website
- Assist the SAW team in publicity matters which may include development of visual communication and social media content, such as EDMs
- Assist the Visual Arts team through research, data entry and visualisation of visual arts statistics in recent years
- Support the Visual Arts team in various projects, events and initiatives as needed

What we are looking for
- Available for a minimum commitment period of 6 months
- Available to support Singapore Art Week in January 2026 which will include evenings and weekends

What the role is
The National Arts Council seeks an experienced Manager to work in its Visual Arts Division to enable the growth and development of the Singapore Visual Arts Sector through the formulation of policies, strategies, and grants administration. The Manager will be engaging with partners, stakeholders and grant applicants for a range of evaluation of funding proposals and ensuring good governance and adherence to funding conditions for funded projects. The Manager will provide support to some of the Division's initiatives that include the Singapore Art Week, Public Art initiatives and thought leadership efforts.
What you will be working on
- Supporting the day-to-day evaluation, monitoring and administration of NAC's funding and grant schemes.
- Working closely with grantees to ensure funded projects and programs reach conclusion. Work with Support Officer in general administration and grants-related matters.
- Working with the team to ensure relevant information is recorded to information management systems, demonstrating timeliness, attention to detail and accurate records management, with careful attention to understanding privacy requirements.
- Contributing to regular weekly, monthly and annual reporting requirements for Fund program activities.
- Providing a range of effective support functions, including arranging and scheduling meetings, payment and invoice tracking, coordinating papers, organising venues and agendas, taking minutes, following-up actions and other administrative duties.
- Keeping abreast of international trends and developments to contribute ideas towards programme and industry development.
- Work with supervisor(s) to develop and formulate policy and recommendations for the benefit of the Visual Arts sector (e.g. plans for residency programmes in the region, strategies to grow Singapore's commercial visual arts ecosystem, plans for public art).
What we are looking for
- Good knowledge of the Singapore Visual arts landscape is highly preferred.
- Experience in business strategies and development would be an added advantage.
- Possess strong written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain information management systems and follow procedures to guide work and track progress ensuring team and project goals and priorities are achieved.
