To analyze, prepare and evaluate a strategic approach to ensure the delivery of timely, high quality, strategic legal support to KSA/MEA procurement and projects, for meeting the legal and compliance requirements for all such transactions: Jubail, Yanbu and Riyadh GPS, KSA affiliates and E&PM. This role is also required to analyze and draft contracts, negotiate agreements, and other various documents in relation to projects and the procurement of goods and services. Furthermore, to lead and supervise junior team members of the department.
- Review, negotiate, draft and advise on procurement contracts and ancillary documents.
- Review, negotiate, draft and advise on projects contracts, including FEED and design and construction contracts, and ancillary documents.
- Conduct compliance and EHSS investigations and make reports.
- Train, mentor and assist legal associates, LEED participants, paralegals and Coop trainees, with their procurement and project-based assignments.
- Ensure that the goals of the wider global legal team are achieved.
- Support SABIC and its affiliates with domestic disputes and negotiating settlements. Support SABIC in communications with government entities, responding to their enquiries, and fulfilling their requirements.
- Ensure compliance with SABIC’s Code of Ethics and other policies and procedures.
- At least a Bachelor degree in Law or Sharia
- Specialist experience in the field of projects (including engineering, procurement and construction related matters) is required.
- Sound knowledge of business principles is an added advantage.
- Experience in building and maintaining a strong corporate compliance culture, and in supporting junior lawyers in the team is preferred.
