About the role (summary)
Our client — a multinational in manufacturing & logistics — is scaling its Singapore sustainability function. They are hiring a
Corporate Carbon & Sustainability Manager
to lead corporate carbon accounting, regulatory compliance, decarbonisation projects and sustainability reporting aligned to regional and international standards.
Key responsibilities
Lead organisational greenhouse-gas (GHG) accounting (scope 1, 2 and scope 3 screening), set up emissions inventory and reporting cadence.
Develop, implement and track decarbonisation roadmaps and reduction projects (energy efficiency, fuel switching, site electrification, supply-chain initiatives).
Prepare sustainability disclosures and assurance-ready reports in line with frameworks such as CSRD, ISSB, GRI and local regulator expectations.
Work cross-functionally with operations, procurement and finance to embed sustainability KPIs and costed implementation plans.
Manage vendor and consultant relationships (carbon verification, renewables procurement, carbon offset due diligence).
Conduct scenario analysis for carbon pricing and regulatory impacts; advise leadership on climate risks and opportunities.
Lead stakeholder engagement: investors, customers, regulators and internal communications.
Build internal capability: training, playbooks and dashboards to track progress against net-zero targets.
Requirements (must-have)
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Finance or similar.
4–7 years’ sustainability, carbon accounting or ESG experience (corporate or consultancy).
Practical experience in GHG inventories and reporting (GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).
Strong data skills (Excel, SQL/Power BI/Tableau preferred) and ability to translate emissions into actionable projects.
Knowledge of regional compliance regimes and voluntary markets, and ability to manage external verifiers.
Preferred qualifications (nice-to-have)
Professional certification (e.g., GHG Practitioner, Certified Carbon Manager, SASB/ISSB training).
Experience with supply-chain scope-3 engagement and supplier data collection.
Familiarity with renewable energy procurement (PPA) and green-finance instruments.
