This role is responsible for leading a team of SVPs, FVPs & Senior Associates/Associates to support the growth of our Corporate Loan business in the Southeast Asian region, targeting Korean & non-Korean Corporate Clients.
Responsibilities
o Leading a team with a special focus to grow our Corporate Loan business (both syndicated & bilateral loans) in the Southeast Asia region, targeting Korean & non-Korean Corporate Clients
o Review & present credit applications, review loan agreements, & supervise post-deal risk management (in both English & Korean). Obtain Credit Review Committee's approval for credit applications
o Review quarterly securities credit spreadsheet
o Review client due diligence & financial analysis
o Supervise credit documentation (in Korean) to meet Korea regulator's requirements
o Review & revise our Credit Policy & Procedure
o Review & send regular and ad-hoc management reports to Head Office (in Korean)
o Keep abreast of international lending markets & banking activities to understand & anticipate trends, with particular focus on Southeast Asia region
o Proactively share market information with colleagues in our Head Office & overseas branch on regular basis (in both English & Korean)
Requirements
o Bachelor or Masters Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics or any related disciplines, or Professional Qualifications such as CFA, CPA
o 15 years' experience in Banking Industry
o Good experience in key commercial banking solutions & credit issues in a banking environment
o Good experience in Deal Structuring & Financial Modelling
o Prior people management experience & able to mentor/guide team members
o Business level proficiency in written & verbal English & Korean are required to communicate with Korean Corporate Clients and Head Office, Singapore Branch & Overseas Branches (including reviewing, writing, presenting & answering queries on credit loan or market research related documents or Head Office's questionaire/data requests)
