Liaise with stakeholder to develop controls system strategies, designs and specifications.
Conduct technical reviews of specialist contractors’ documentation submissions including points lists, network architecture schematics, controller wiring diagrams, control cabinet drawings, functional descriptions (FDs) / scope of operations (SOO), and HMI graphics.
Design detailed control systems incorporating PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms.
Develop technical solutions for client requirements and prepare technical and fee proposals for tenders.
Proactively engage with clients, stakeholders, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
Strong organizational and communication skills to ensure effective collaboration across all stakeholders.

What can you bring to the team?

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Information and Communications Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
At least 3 years’ post graduate experience across all project development phases, from concept and detailed design to site commissioning.
Strong background in all aspect of Building Management System (BMS), including DDC, PLC control design and project delivery.
Experienced in the consultancy, design and construction of Critical Facilities and Smart Buildings.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC Control Applications, Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management Systems.
Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, ELV systems and IP networking.
Experienced in IoT, cybersecurity and cloud platforms.
Experience working on various device interfaces such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP & RTU, MQTT, BACnet/IP & MSTP etc.
Proficient in networking systems, including physical/virtual servers, network switches (CISCO and MOXA), fibre and copper cabling etc.
Experience with Safety in Design practices, risk assessment, project engineering, planning, and proposal preparation.
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage the projects effectively.
Highly self-motivated with strong work ethics and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.

Job Summary
Is part of the Equinix Operations Data Infrastructure Monitoring (ODIM), an organization within Global Operation Excellence at Equinix. ODIM provides support and maintenance for multiple monitoring platforms within the business. ODIM engineers will investigate and resolve data quality issues in the system, provide support to internal users and projects using the information contained in the system and work within the system to identify energy efficiency improvement opportunities.

Respond to internal customer requests for information arising from their use of Data Center SmartView
Interact with the operation engineers at each Data Center location to be cognizant of maintenance and operations which may cause unusual operating conditions
Verify the accuracy of data presented in Data Center SmartView and supporting systems
Troubleshoot all elements of the controls system, including field devices, controllers, network components and software systems as necessary to resolve data quality issues
Provide support for equipment additions, changes and deletions within the system
Assist in the design of new features which improve usability of Smart View
Maintain and develop training materials for internal and external users
Provide training to internal and external users
Act as a subject matter expert for the Data Center SmartView system
Utilize Smartview to identify operational efficiency improvement opportunities and work with the regional and Data Center engineering teams to implement solutions to opportunities identified
Update the system configuration in response to infrastructure equipment additions, moves, changes or deletions
Utilizes safe working practices at an expert level (e.g. can apply procedure for lockout/tagout, can explain MSDS, etc.
