Job Purpose
Provide engineering solutions to reliability problems affecting SMRT Signalling, Communication & Control System and their associated equipment. Independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and develop engineering solutions to identified problems.
Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff from the Lines and other engineering departments to investigate defects, develop methods, propose modifications, and improve maintenance strategies.
Analyze and trend condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns, and develop methods, propose modifications, and enhance maintenance strategies.
Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Identify and implement cost-effective technologies to enhance SMRT Signalling, Communication & Control System performance.
Support LTA and SMRT projects by reviewing project design specifications to ensure safety, reliability, maintainability, and operability, and provide engineering support as required.
Identify and report safety concerns at the workplace.
Perform additional tasks or functions as assigned by the supervisor that are incidental or ancillary to the primary work.
Work in any SMRT lines or Maintenance Depots.
Work in rotating or fixed shifts.
Qualifications & Work Experience
Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Previous railway system experience is advantageous.
Skills
Proficient with diagnostic and reliability engineering methodologies such as Weibull Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and best practices in Maintenance Science.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work hands-on in a maintenance workshop environment alongside engineers, assistant engineers, and technical officers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

The research fellow will be leading the development of AI-driven end-to-end autonomous driving algorithms.
The work will involve algorithm development, simulation, test rig set-up, and experimental validation.
Job Requirements:
The candidate must at least have a PhD Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.
Strong background in end-to-end autonomous driving, foundation models and reinforcement learning.
Candidates having relevant research or working experience in autonomous driving and reinforcement learning, foundation models will be preferred.
Good communications skills and the ability to work independently and facilitate projects with minimal supervision.
Able to contribute to Journal/Conference papers with good presentation skills.
Able to plan and organize well and adhere to deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop effective execution plans for component design, system component selection, and design specifications, ensuring seamless project delivery.
• Design detailed electrical control schematics for automated equipment, incorporating safety considerations into designs in compliance with applicable local regulations and standards.
