Job Purpose
The Manager / Senior Manager, Supervisory Control System Engineering, is to provide leadership and management to his team. The team is expected to provide engineering solutions to reliability problems affecting Supervisory Control system and their associated equipment. He will be required to coach and guide the team in defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and develop engineering solutions to the problems identified; ensuring that each system and sub-system is performing within the defined reliability targets. He will also have to collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders on engineering and maintenance efforts and ensure high system reliability and availability.
Job Purpose
The Manager / Senior Manager, Supervisory Control System Engineering, is to provide leadership and management to his team. He will also have to collaborate with other internal and external stakeholders on engineering and maintenance efforts and ensure high system reliability and availability.
Responsibilities
Effectively lead his team to work effectively with Ops and Maintenance staff from the Lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects. They are to develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to rectify them.
Lead his team in analyzing and trending condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns. They are to develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to overcome them
Vet and review technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Review and update System Hazard log and Risk register
Identify and implement cost effective technologies to enhance SMRT Supervisory Control system performance.
Support LTA and SMRT projects in reviewing project design specifications and ensure their adequacy for the safety, reliability, maintainability and operability. To provide other engineering support to the projects, as required.
Responsible for his team’s technical competency, safety, welfare, learning and development. He is to coach, nurture and develop his team in engineering and management skills.
Responsible for the effective knowledge management of the systems under his charge.
Identify and report any safety concerns at the workplace.
Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works, as assigned by supervisor
Work in any SMRT line or Maintenance Depots
Qualifications & Work Experience
Bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent
More than 8 years of experience in Supervisory Control System related field
Skills
Technical skills include:
Good understanding of intergrated/supervisory control system design and interface requirement.
Good understanding of computer IP network. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze network issues.
Good understanding industrial protocols, such as MODbus, OPC, PLC and serial interface.
Good understanding on various client-server platform.
General Skills Include
Adept with diagnostic and reliability engineering methodologies, such as Weibull Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Best practices in Maintenance Science
Good leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English

Job Purpose
Provide engineering solutions to reliability problems affecting SMRT Signalling, Communication & Control System and their associated equipment. Independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, reliability trending, and develop engineering solutions to identified problems.
Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff from the Lines and other engineering departments to investigate defects, develop methods, propose modifications, and improve maintenance strategies.

Qualifications & Work Experience
Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Previous railway system experience is advantageous.
Skills
Proficient with diagnostic and reliability engineering methodologies such as Weibull Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and best practices in Maintenance Science.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work hands-on in a maintenance workshop environment alongside engineers, assistant engineers, and technical officers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
