Job Purpose

The Investment Office of the National University of Singapore manages all invested funds of the University. The funds are invested globally across liquid and illiquid asset classes including public equities, fixed income, private equities, hedge funds and real estate. The objective is to provide long term sustainable returns to allow the National University of Singapore to meet its spending needs for current and future generation.

The Investment Office of NUS is recruiting an investment analyst to join our Analyst Program 2026. This is a 2-year program offering the opportunity to learn about asset allocation, different investment strategies in various asset classes, risk management, portfolio management and operations.

Investment Work:

• Assist in researching and sourcing for investment ideas
• Assist in the execution of investment due diligence work, including qualitative and quantitative analysis of prospective investment opportunities, interviewing the managers, reference checks, industry/sector research, preparing recommendation memo and legal documentation review
• Assist in the portfolio monitoring and management of existing investments
• Assist in preparation of reports, presentation or updates to the investment committee, NUS management or other stakeholders
• Assist in taking meeting minutes for internal and external meetings
• Assist with any other ad-hoc duties/projects required by the Investment Office

Requirements

• A degree in any discipline, with strong academic performance. Inquisitive, passion and interest in investing
• Soft-skills: excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, learning agility and teamwork
• Technical skills preferred (Word/Excel/PPT, R or Python, data analysis and visualization)
• Relevant internship, project, or part-time work experience will be an advantage

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Language Skills: Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese, with proven ability to communicate complex investment and governance concepts persuasively to senior executives and directors.
• C-Suite Engagement: At least 10 years of direct experience engaging with boards and top management of publicly listed companies in Japan.

We are looking for a mid-level analyst to work at Schonfeld Strategic Advisors; the role will be based in Singapore. The team has a global mandate with focus on the China and Taiwan markets. DESIGNATION : Analyst (Electricity Bidding & Trading)

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will join our team of Analysts in our Electricity Bidding & Trading and will be involved in market analysis and operational work including monitoring the behavior and dynamics of the electricity demand and supply situation, to construct the bid prices in the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) and optimising the sales of electricity through bidding in the competitive wholesale electricity market.

QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analyses including competitors study, forecast of electricity demand and generation supply and projection of power prices.
• Execute and optimise real time sale of electricity into the competitive wholesale electricity market in Singapore based on analysis mentioned above to achieve maximum profit and lower portfolio cost.
• Understand the contractual obligations of the various natural gas supply contracts and retail electricity contracts and liaise with power plant operation team to formulate an optimum generation running plan from the Company's portfolio of generation assets.
• Prepare daily estimated Gross Margin performance, highlighting key market events or trading activities and prepare month end accruals to Finance.
• Administrate the purchase and sales of electricity contract-for-differences (CfDs) with counterparties including request for quotations, negotiations of terms and settlements.

The Role

You will have end-to-end participation in the full private equity investment process, focusing on evaluating investment opportunities, analysing potential exit strategies, preparing reports, prospectus and supporting the execution of asset management strategies.
