The successful candidate will join the Overseas Accounting Department in SIA Finance Division.
Key Responsibilities
Internal control
Review and complete monthly accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, cash audit checklist, highlight and follow through any abnormalities with accountant and stations.
Monitor and liaise with stations to ensure compliance with procedures and policies in the Finance Manual.
Support queries from stations as needed.
Assist with month-end closing activities.
Follow up on defaulted debts/aged debts and provide provisions for doubtful debt.
Monitor and ensure prompt clearance of suspense accounts; assist stations in posting accounting entries for account clearance.
Collaborate with station Business Units on variance analysis and review quarterly Budgetary Control Statement reports.
Assist in station’s operating budget exercises.
Handle billing requests to subsidiaries or third parties.
Manage station requests for new SAP access, ensuring compliance with Segregation of Duty (SOD) matrix.
Track vendor KPIs to ensure targets are met.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
Perform other assignments and projects as needed.
Requirements
Diploma in Accountancy or similar qualification.
Meticulous, self-driven, able to work independently and in a team.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and IT-savvy.
Open to both fresh diploma holders and candidates with work experience.

Job Title: Operations and Accounting Associate

We are seeking a skilled Operations and Accounting Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with periodical and ad-hoc accounting and fund operations tasks, including trade processing, cash management, NAV reviews, and coordination with fund administrators and custodians.

The successful candidate will also support fund operations, liaise with internal and external stakeholders on accounting and operational matters, provide support for the compliance function, and handle administrative duties as needed.

To be considered for this role, applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a Diploma in Accounting with ACCA/CPA/SCAQ certification. Experience in fund operations in the investment management industry is a plus.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, proficiency in Excel, including XLOOKUP and Pivot Table, and experience in Portfolio Management Systems and/or Accounting Software.
