Responsibilities:

• Conduct feasibility studies, propose solutions, identify risks.

Building Control Act , Fire Safety Act , WSH Act , etc.
- Develop concept, schematic, and detailed structural designs.
- Conduct load calculations and coordinate models.
- Support legislative submissions and sustainable design practices.
- Assist with cost estimates, schedules, and tender documents.
- Ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory needs.
- Coordinate with contractors and supervise on-site works.

The CSA - Construction is responsible for overseeing and managing all Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) works within construction projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams, consultants, general contractors (GCs), and subcontractors to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality execution of CSA activities in compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all CSA construction activities from planning through execution to completion.
• Ensure that CSA works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure integration of CSA works within the overall project scope.
• Review and approve CSA-related construction methods, schedules, and materials.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure performance, quality, and safety compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to address and close out non-conformances or site observations related to CSA works.
• Prepare and review progress reports, construction schedules, and cost updates related to CSA works.
• Participate in project and client meetings to provide updates on CSA construction progress and resolve issues.
• Lead problem-solving efforts and develop mitigation strategies for CSA-related challenges.

Assist in developing and implementing corporate construction policies that support project construction.
Oversee the effective management of project activities to assure timely delivery and low wastage.
Manage and lead a group of engineers.
Co-ordination with other departments on issues affecting project works.
Liaise with government/statutory authorities, consultants, clients, suppliers etc.
Provide timely project progress reporting to management and attending project execution meetings with other managers.
Select, guide and develop a multicultural labour force & management team with construction responsibilities to ensure that the organization achieves it business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
Ensuring quality assurance and iso standards are met on all construction related activities and ensure customer quality specifications are constantly met.
Allocate capital and human resources to maximize productivity.
Other ad-hoc duties required to carry out.
Requirements
Possess excellent interpersonal skills/people management skills, good communication skills and negotiation skills and possess strong leadership qualities.
Efficient, good analytical skills and able to work independently.
Proven track records of successful project completion on time and on budget or exceeding expectations will be well regards.
Master or degree in engineering or equivalent, recognized universities under the BCA is a plus.
Minimum 7 years of experience in construction experience. Experience in constructing jetty/pier/wharf.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera and AutoCad.
Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
