Job Description
This position involves overseeing the supervision of various types of developments, with a focus on construction management and quality control. Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing and checking that all works comply fully with contract drawings and documents, and approved shop drawings.
- Reporting to the Resident Architect and Engineer regularly on progress of works and evaluating the ongoing performance of contractors and brief project teams accordingly.
- Working closely with the Resident Architect and Engineer to ensure all regulatory authorities' requirements are complied with and implemented.
- Implementing and sustaining the site supervision quality & safety assurance system.
- Understanding and interpreting drawings and contract documents, and resolving site and technical issues.
- Spotting and foreseeing potential issues, and preempting abortive works by identifying non-compliance at an early stage, followed by close coordination with QP to resolve details for timely progress of works.
- Carrying out regular site checks on contractors and ensuring compliance with health and work safety per MOM regulations.
- Attending site progress, technical, client-consultant, variation, coordination meetings etc., with the project team and client.
- Ensuring that proper site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, as-built submissions etc., are well managed and relayed.
- Assisting the Resident Architect and Engineer in carrying out supervision works on site and also assisting in supervising & co-ordination with other consultants' site staff.
- Quality controlling civil, structural, and in particular architectural works such as inspecting materials and workmanship.
- Preparing defects snagging lists, monitoring the progress of rectification works, and ensuring all defects are satisfactorily rectified.
- Ensuring all contractor's works are in statutory compliance; providing full-time supervision of structural works in large building projects.
- Assisting in reviewing contractor's method statements and working procedures, and ensuring that contractors proceed in accordance to approved method statements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of site experience in the supervision of various types of developments.
- Good knowledge of the conservation trade and restoration techniques, experience in GFRC construction is an added advantage.
- Experience in architectural finishes required.
- Must be accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC).
- Possess a complete understanding of local regulations/codes for building projects, and complying with BCA's criteria for buildability and safety assurance systems.
- A good team player with effective communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Able to work overtime when required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Knowledge of BIM and VDC capabilities will be an added advantage.
- Able to start work within a 1-month notice period or sooner.
- Contract period: 28-30 months, subject to extension.
