Qualifications & experience

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Construction M&E.
• Strong knowledge of M&E details, working drawings and local construction practices (SMACNA, ASHRAE, SS COP, FSSD, NEA).
• Conversant in using BIM & CAD to prepare design and submission documents and coordinate and resolve technical and site issues.
• Good team player and analytical and problem solver, Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels.
• Organised and systematic to file day-to-day records, contracts and project files/documents.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Systems Design & Calculation, cost estimation, preparation of plans and engineering design (BIM, CAD) following code and standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, SS COP, FSSD, NEA).
• Obtain and review supplier/contractor's submissions for completeness, per specifications.
• Supervise and review site works according to design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Preparation of schedule, monitor project progress and preparation of regular progress reports.
• Managing subordinates to maintain and ensure project quality and deliverables are met.
• Organising daily work records throughout the project to ensure progress and changes are tracked and variations promptly raised to stakeholders.

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Coordinator to oversee the scheduling, material requisition, cost control, project supervision, and documentation of architectural works.

• Carry out scheduling, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Coordinate with Consultants, Project Managers, Engineers and Subcontractors to resolve construction problems and issues to ensure timely and smooth progress of works
• Monitor progress and ensure compliance of all Architectural trades on site
• Review drawings, specifications, and method statements for compliance with codes and project requirements
• Lead coordination meetings; Attend site and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
• Assist in project handover, defect rectifications, and preparation of technical reports.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Singapore building codes and regulations, experience in construction inspection procedure and documentation, good leadership and communication skills, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

As a Lead Construction Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and directing construction activities to ensure safe and timely delivery and completion of development works.

You will present management reports pertaining to project progress, personnel performance, and problems encountered and appropriate solutions.

Additionally, you will cover site activities and documents, and provide timely reports to management.

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Civil), Quantity Survey, Architecture, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Manager specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Experienced in Structural and Architecture works will be preferred.
