Key Responsibilities

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to formulating, implementing, and maintaining compliance and corporate policies and frameworks to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations. You will be key in enhancing existing compliance processes, tracking regulatory developments, identifying and escalating potential compliance risks to Management, and overseeing appropriate resolution measures.

In addition, you will provide legal support to the Company's business operations. This includes drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, developing legal templates to support project structuring, engaging with strategic partners and financiers, and managing external counsel engagements. You will also be involved in corporate secretarial and corporate governance matters.

You will support the Company Secretary in ensuring effective Board and Board Committee governance. This includes preparing and coordinating materials for Board and Board Committee meetings, drafting and circulating meeting minutes and Directors' Resolutions in Writing, and maintaining statutory registers and corporate records.

Requirements

  • A recognised law degree, with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience, either in private practice or in-house.
  • Qualification in Singapore or UK law preferred.
  • Strong legal drafting skills and sound commercial judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is an advantage to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
