- To drive hearse van and assist in funeral services.
- To ensure the hearse van is in serviceable condition and always kept clean and tidy.
- To clean, keep and replenish funeral materials after use.
- To assist in making wooden caskets and collecting shrouds.
- To purchase and update funeral materials when stock runs low.
- To work with volunteers and render services to the deceased family when required.
- To keep the workstation and storage for funeral materials always clean and tidy.
- To assist staff in other related Welfare department areas such as repacking rice for needy families, Qurban services, rough sleepers, fostering and activities in the month of Ramadhan (eg. purchase, packing and distribution of the iftar food and Ramadhan alms etc)
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum GCE N level or equivalent qualification/ relevant experience.
- Able to read and write in Malay and English
- Possess a valid Class 3 Driving License
- Physically fit and able to perform field duties
- With Own transport preferred
- Willing to work long hours, weekends and off hours when required
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
- Passionate about community service and ready to contribute actively to welfare programmes
