Responsibilities

1. To assist in casework and counselling by conducting an initial assessment of client’s needs and presenting issues.


2. To maintain proper case notes and make necessary referrals to relevant agencies where necessary.


3. To execute FaithActs outreach programmes, including community needs assessment (whenever necessary).


4. To assist in the administration of the annual Bursary and Scholarship.


5. To provide coordination and support of programmes between FaithActs and other stakeholders (e.g. schools and organisations) including management and training of volunteers.


6. To schedule home and/or hospital visits, provide medical escort where necessary (and update the record/s in the master file).


7. To attend to enquiries and referrals from other agencies.


8. To prepare reports as and when required by the Management.

Glyph Community is a Singapore-based IPC children's charity that provides accessible enrichment programmes and community support for underprivileged youth. Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for people who love being out there, meeting people, and making things happen. You'll be calling families to bring new kids into our programs, running activities face-to-face, and being the person children look forward to seeing every week. You need to be outgoing, comfortable talking to strangers, and ready to take charge without someone holding your hand. If you genuinely enjoy working with kids and have the energy to keep up with them, you'll do well here. If phone calls make you freeze, or if spending a few hours with children sounds draining, this isn't the job for you.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Recruiting new beneficiaries (community visits, calls)
• Engaging beneficiaries (paid activities, registration renewals)
• Activity Facilitator on days with activities
• Preparing and executing activities
• Cleaning up the centre & organising inventory
• Student administration & customer service (managing attendance and post-activity feedback sheets, answering queries, resolving complaints)
• Managing volunteers during activities (giving instructions, briefing & debriefing)

Requirements

• Workdays are Wednesday - Sunday, Off on Monday – Tuesday
