Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Maintains regional or global responsibility for a specific commodity or group of commodities for price /value determination, sourcing, negotiations, terms & conditions and supplier relationship development.
- Quotes and negotiates all products and services quarterly.
- Develops cost of customer bids within response time objectives.
- Supports bid activities by interacting with the site teams to compile and deliver the material commitment to the customer.
- Participates in Commodity Council Corporate negotiation team and /or the Customer Materials Commitment process by providing material pricing and data analysis.
- Conducts Quarterly Business Reviews with top suppliers and review customer BOMs for quarterly commits.
- Coordinates any supplier communication.
- Reviews and resolves issues on supplier performance feedback, supplier report card and bids.
- Supports the site SCM buying teams in times of product shortage or suppliers not meeting performance requirements including escalation within the supplier and alternative source development/recommendations.
- Supports customers to resolve quality, serviceability and performance related issues for products or bid activities.
- Consolidates, tabulates, analyzes and reports on various commitment and performance metrics.
- Provides product cost support for products in assigned geographies.
- Prepares bids including generation of BOM, cost analysis, negotiate with suppliers, and present bids to management.
- Updates material prices database, analyze bill of materials for competitiveness and customer compliance, review with management.
Requirements:
- At least 1 - 3 years in the Semiconductor Industry.
- Candidates with Electrical Engineering related work experience and / or qualification highly advantageous
- Working knowledge of the marketplace conditions for the area of specialization including industry pricing, technology and supply/demand trends.
- Strong systems skills, including common office platforms such as MS Office and Access, along with have strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
- Basic understanding of specific customer needs.
- Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
Executes three to five-year plans & objectives.
Maintains responsibility for development and execution of strategies for strategic and/or high-dollar commodityor group of commodities; focusing onquality, price/value determination, and timely delivery.
Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-functional, national or regional basis; may lead a work group or project team, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialty,to ensure quality, delivery and cost objectives are met.
Sets tactical plans to achieve assigned goals within established professional standards, established policies/objectives, and within given timelines.; accountable for quality of work delivered.
Effectively drives continuous improvements across all functions, leads problem resolutionof diverse scope based on analysis of facts and data, developing short and long-term plans and solutions, updating/setting up policies to standardizeprocesses;resolves conflicts in an effective manner.
Builds cross-functional and maintains positive relationships, where negotiation, persuasion and considerable tact are required to gain support from key suppliers and customers to ensure success of the corporation.
Establishes and drives strategic global bidding initiatives while ensuring all site interests are understood and accounted for; supports worldwide product pricing strategy and process.
Responsible for global negotiations of pricing, terms & conditions, and monitoring of supplier performance;maintaining a continuity of supply.
Conducts strategic analysis on pricing, the market, suppliers, customers, competitors, contracts and long-term agreements, manages complex and diverse commodities in a dynamic environment of rapid changes.
Ensures timely execution of commodity plans, supplier analysis, developmentand selection, quotation/contracting and supplier relationship management within established processes and policies.
Acts as primary interface with Celestica’s suppliers for all relationship management, contract negotiation issues, establishing business framework for transactions, performance reviews, business development and supplier awards programs.
Track and report on keep performance metrics on a regular basis
May act as site liaison to manage critical shortage, develop strategies on constrained commodities and represent site, manage related systems changes that have broad effect on execution of purchasing responsibilities.
Assists in developing training plan for new employees, mentoring new employees.
Requirements:
At least 5- 7years in the Semiconductor Industry
Deep understanding of AP culture
Experiencesinnegotiating contract, stocking programs, LT reductions activities, supplier developmentwill be useful
Problem resolution, conflict management
Mechanical Engineering background preferred
Knowledge of global supply chain emerging trends and influences of global environment on a broad range of strategic commodities including industry pricing, technology, supply/demandtrendswill be useful
Strong knowledge of Engineering concepts and financial analysis
Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
High level of integrity
Challenges status quo, adopts rational, fact-based problem resolutionmethodology and implements continuous improvements
Ability to communicate and build strong supplier & cross-functional relationships
Ability to work independently with strong sense of responsibility and urgency
Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively
Strong knowledge of basic computer applications, particularly in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint
Strong desire to learn; eager to take ondynamic challenges
Duties of this position may be performed in a remote environment
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
